Looks like I'm going to bite the bullet and put a pool in at the new house. I don't know the first thing about a pool other than it holds water. I just got a preliminary drawing back from my pool builder and its less than mesmerizing. Could some of you help me out here?
Beach entry looks a little on the small side. I would like enough room for two lounge chairs in the water there.
On the equipment placement I don't want it next to the house. Has anyone seen the equipment located remotely in the backyard?
Thanks in advance!

I just recently started a new build. Stopped by the house late this afternoon to check on progress. It's been a long last couple of weeks with all the rain. Hope to have it all dried in by this time next week.

Would it have been better if it had been blind tasting ?
It was a blind tasting. Those are the wines in no particular order. -

How was that 74 Montelena? How long have you had it? I’m guessing it’s hard to find well-stored older wines from California.
One of the guys on the trip brought the bottle. It was slightly corked but still enjoyable and showed well for an old school Cali cab. We run across some older bottles from time to time but getting harder to find. Especially ones with really good provenance. -
Yesterday's warm up for the next two days of Judgement.

This is going to be the longest 3 days of my life. I have an oenophile trip starting on Thursday. It is going to be three days filled with some of the most beautiful wines on the planet!

Headed out there tomorrow. It appears like most things are back open, even if a little less capacity.
Are the restaurants back open? -
A good friend of mine is a damn good personal injury attorney. If you would
like his info I would be glad to pass it along. -
Summer has arrived. Had one of those long ass Sunday’s on Lake Austin, the kind that required taking a Monday off.
My boat is coming up on its first 100 hours and I haven’t had service since buying it at 60 hours 6 months ago. Definitely just about service time. This is a first for me. Thought about doing it myself but I’ve got zero experience. Anyone have a recommendation for a dockside service that they’re confident in, other than just paying through the teeth to my local dealer?

Need to learn more about crypto....More importantly the only crypto I own has been purchased through Paypal. Should I look at other platforms to puchase and do I need a crypto wallet?

I hear you but I need to get my bottles safely stored. I think I've found a place in DC so carry on.
Just send them to me. I'll take good care of them.....In all seriousness I can ask around if you need a recommendation around DC to cellar your wine.
Yes: Pools are worth it....

Pool designer messed up on the rendering. There is no deck. Just a big outdoor living space with a shed roof that apparently is a double level pergola!
