  1. Went to visit the in-laws in the hill country over the weekend. Ice maker couldn't keep up and was told to go get some ice from the gas station. Found some interesting wine...

  3. It was a solid night. We had high hopes for some of the wines but they just didn’t bring the fire. Wines of the night were 99 Solaia, 09 Harlan The Maiden and 86 Ridge.

  4. All I do to winterize is drain the water off the block and the manifold. Putting the plugs back in is a 2 minute job so it's easy to get back on the water when you want to.

This is all I have ever done and never a problem. If you have a v-drive drain that as well. For as long as I can remember my dad did this to our competition boats when I was a toddler.

On another note please do not rely on a blanket or light bulb. If the power/light goes out your toast of it stays really cold for multiple days.

For any Zalto users - Bordeaux or Burgundy?

I have both of those but it seems we always end up using the universal stems.
We typically start with bubbles then move on to whites and from there to reds. You can use the same glass for everything!

Oh and a little tip.....start using universal stems for Champagne.

  6. Need some help.....Leaving Horseshoe Bay in the morning and dropping off some relatives in Austin at the airport. Just found out they have been in Texas for a week and not had any BBQ! Where would be a good place to stop around 11am? I’m thinking Terry Blacks might be my best bet?

  7. Looking to buy a new truck for my company. The truck we are replacing is a crew cab Tundra. The truck is driven mainly on the highway but some city driving. Pulling a lightly loaded 18’ trailer a couple of times a year for no more than 10-15 miles each time. I have been looking at the Ram crew cab but in a V6. The Tundras just haven’t changed much in the past ten years when the Ram has more creature comfort features.

    Thoughts?
