  1. Yes, though Ruinart Brut Rose (probably $20 more expensive for the NV) is better IMO

Great choice. Henriot Rose is about the same and just as good IMO.

  2. To the champagne snobs- Do you like Billecart Salmon?  It seems to be a popular recommendation from lots of sommeliers.

Billecart is a staple at our house. Great QPR.

  3. I love this time of year, but I hate it so much.... Just picked up:
3 bottles each of all 3 2016 Guigal La La’s
    3 2017 Scarecrow
    3 2017 Fairchild Stones No 1

    Love me some La La!!!

  4. Headed to the mountains soon. Fly into Denver mid-afternoon and planning to stay in Denver for the night. Will have family in tow so looking for a part of town that has restaurants and shops nearby. Any suggestions? Been looking at both Lodo and Cherry Creek areas.

  5. Very, very nice lineup there. Was the SQN Syrah or Grenache? And how was the 95 Margaux against it (assuming you paired the wines like shown in the pics)? Hard to read the Aubert label... which one was it?  And last, which was the wine of the night?

    SQN was the Syrah.

I don’t remember which Aubert vineyard. Label was pretty tattered from being in an ice bath.

  6. Need help for New Years. We had Dom two years ago and it was good, but I want something different. I prefer something towards the middle of the road of sweet / dry. Price up to $200. Thoughts??

Milkman, Kelley Fox (and the wines she made for Scott Paul) have been my favorite Oregon Pinot Noir for years, but I’ve never had her Chardonnay. Tell me about it.

This is her first Chardonnay bottling to my knowledge.  It is very young but approachable now.  With a little time this wine will be in a great spot!
