Heading to Vegas for the weekend, so of course its gonna rain to drop it down while I'm gone. If y'all are placing bets, #'s will go sky high come Tuesday.

If that futures bet is available while you're in Vegas, would you put $100 on it for me?  I'm good for it.

  2. I couldn't bring myself to watch the game, but I just looked at the box score.  2-22 from 3 and 21-33 from inside the arc?  What in the ever living shit is that?  Why, why do we continue to shoot 3's when we don't have good shooters on the team?

  3. Paying the price today for enjoying the weekend while mainlining allergy meds and Sudafed.  It was worth it, though.  Great fucking weekend.  Got in a run on Saturday, mountain bike ride Sunday, and played about 4-6 hours of various sports with my sons and a friend.  Soccer, football, basketball, and baseball.  Hell, even tossed some washers for 30 minutes yesterday.

But JFC I feel like shit today.

Airlines basically treat you like garbage unless you pay for business or spend 60k miles to fly in business.

Out of IAH I recommend United to MUC before anything else. After that is AMS, LHR, or FRA. Lufthansa to FRA on A380 is another options with connections to anywhere else in Europe.

Transatlantic flights suck regardless of who yoy fly with because you're in an airplane for 10 hours from Texas. In my experience the European carriers to usually have marginally better food and stuff like that, but ultimately who gives a fuck? Get it over with as cheap and as quick as you can.

All of this.  Unless you're spending money on Business Class, Intl flights from Texas suck.  All airline food sucks, and even if Intl carriers are better, that's like being the tallest midget.

I'm 6-1, so Economy Plus has real benefits for me.  But then again I never have to buy it because I can upgrade for free.

My advice is eat something decent before you leave, take a couple of snacks, then eat something decent when you arrive.  Book whatever airline you can get an aisle seat, or possibly spring for Economy Plus if you need the legroom.

  5. Honestly this is what keeps me from doing those tests.  I have had some drunken flings in my youth--not a ton but a few.  And in a number of those flings I never saw the girl again.  What if somewhere along the way I slipped one past the goalie?  No way on this fucking earth do I want to know that.

Similar reason why I'm not on Facebook.  I keep in touch with the people I want to keep in touch with.  Others don't need access to my life.

Dude seems like a genuine DB, but it's a about time to give it a rest.  His marriage fell apart, he's lost every job he's ever had, and now he's cleaning fucking pools.  Life has already beat the shit out of him.  What's the point of the internet beating him down even further?

This post did not age well.

Fuck everything about that dude.  He gets everything coming to him and deserves to have his shit put on blast.

God I hope JS is screwing with him.  Not that I really care one way of the other about JS--it would just be another career low light for The Hamm.

10k in property taxes means you're living in a $650kish home.  Is that middle class to you?

My tax rate is 2.7%.  10k in property taxes is a $370k home

  8. In all seriousness, I'm expecting one day to open this thread to read he hung himself or went homicidal.

  9. Scaling back to 11 regular season games solves the CCG issue.  Get rid of one of the meaningless non-conf games during the season and still have a CCG to determine your winner.  P5 conf winners are guaranteed a spot.  This isn't difficult.

Then give HFA to the top 4 teams (must be conference champs), and play it the week after the CCG.

Now you have a regular season that means a whole hell of a lot, you have a CCG that the conferences want to keep, and you don't have to mess with the timing all that much.

Dele might never play a serious down at Texas.

I'm a casual observer on the recruiting board, so excuse my ignorance...but what leads you to say this?

Is he getting recruited over in 2019?  Is he a head case?  Injury prone?

I seem to remember Dele being a highly ranked recruit, but he was just a freshman this year who was injured half of the year and will be taking a RS.

    Fuck those money grabbing assholes.

I suggest everyone in this position to develop the "Keep Austin Weird" idea and put neon and art all over the yards.

    More power to them.

Fuck the investors in the dog smelling ass.

You seem to be on the fence on this one.  Pick a side.

  12. Christ on a cracker, OU's offense is historically good--and we gave up 39 points.  Included in that is a safety and a TD at the end of the half that never should have happened.  Sometimes your HC has to do you a solid.  We held them to 13 points in the 1st half, and instead of taking a lead to HT, Herman crapped himself.

I'm more concerned why we look like a bunch of pussies in the 4th quarter of half the games.  Offense and defense.

Also, I'm to the point where I think we should sign 5 DBs every cycle and push the ones that can't keep up out every couple of years.  We need 7 legit DBs in the pipeline at any given time.

That said, I think our future is extremely bright.  Sugar Bowl is way more than I was expecting, and I think we're a 9 win team next year.  2020 is the one I'm eyeing for contending for the CFP.
