Getting our stuff from the ferry to Ixchel continues to be an argument between me an my wife. We’re traveling with a toddler so we’ll have a good amount of shit.

We will be arriving around 4pm-5pm. I was thinking there would be guys with carts or wheelbarrows waiting at the ferry to carry our bags and we’d just walk alongside them (she doesn’t want to take a cab because of the lack of car seat). Her thought is to pre-book a golf cart from an outfit close to the ferry and use that.I haven’t called Ixchel to see if they’d come pick us up with a car seat. Any suggestions?

Same question.  I thought back on Shaggy someone said they used USA Transfers for transfer from airport to hotel and back and everything worked out great.  When I booked booked with them I stated our dropoff and pickup point was Ixchel.  As I'm looking over the confirmation, they only pickup and dropoff at the ferry terminal--not to the hotel.  What's the best way to get to and from the hotel for ferry dropoff/pickup?

Ask your bank in the US to order some peso for you before you go.  My BBVA branch said they need 3 days notice... Over 19 to 1 this week...

Good tip.  Thanks.  Just called my bank and they said max 4 days.

I'm guessing I should plan on using cash at all the hotels and bars in town.  Seems like the easiest and safest path.

Oh, Noooo, I'm so sorry. It's the MOOPS. The correct answer is, The MOOPS.

The wife and I have been on a bit of a Trivial Pursuit kick the past couple of months.  I use this one a bit too much.

  4. Last time we went to Bartlett's, granted this was a couple of years ago, we went specifically for the chicken fingers.  Were told we could only order them secretly at lunch now.  Hopefully they've changed that.

  5. 3 picks in 20 minutes...against the scout team D, which now Daylon Mack is apparently a member of.  But it wasn't his fault because it hit 6ft 1in Daylon in the helmet.  But the point of all of that was to point out Jimbo's attention to detail because Starkel's chin was in the wrong position and he noticed a 300+lb offensive lineman fucking collapsed and almost died on the field?  He sounds like a regular Sherlock Holmes.

    Jesus fucking Christ.

  6. That is pretty good advice on Paris.

Are you into history?  The Churchill War rooms in London are pretty fascinating, and there is a Churchill museum at the end.  I killed about 3-4 hours there, and realistically I could have spent more except that my back started to hurt.

You could go catch a show in West End one night.

See if you can find football...er, soccer...tickets to one of the local clubs. It doesn't have to be one of the big ones like Arsenal or Chelsea.  You'll have a good time.  Fulham has a nice little stadium.  As does Crystal Palace.

I enjoyed running through Hyde Park.

I also enjoyed riding around town on the top of a tour bus.

I also stopped in a LOT of random pubs.

  7. This was always one of the more entertaining threads on Shaggy, but I really don't understand how grown-ass adults shit their pants.  My 6 year old has a problem with it.  I don't expect the same after about 4th grade.
