I remember being surprised and thinking Lewis had made a big mistake.
I also thought Apple was dead when the Newton bombed.

Legalize marijuana. It’s a win win. Helps the farmers. Government loves to create new groups and shit. Create a marijuana department. Have oversight. Tax it and use the taxes on state infrastructure. I started doing gummies over a year and a half ago for my rheumatoid arthritis. Game changer for me. I have THC ones and ones without. Stop penalizing people for using it or selling that specifically. No prison time. No jail time. Nothing on your record unless you are a violent cartel type. It gets rid of the fentanyl problem with government oversight and start moving major industries (manufacturing plants and such) south of the border. Partner with disadvantaged countries for schools abroad. I have so many ideas since I got sober and started doing weed. If my family and friends hadn’t loved me enough I’d be on a drunk bender. Every fucking week.
Now I’m an elite assassin. A phantom. I’m a badass now.Bravo! This non-sequitur brought to you by Marijuana!

I mean, aren't we eventually going to run out of vintage clothing to resell? And THEN what?
Mark my words, the custom-tailored vintage clothing Chinese knockoff market is about to explode. Best get in on the ground floor...

You can thank that asshole, Eric Moreland, and his merry band of investor idiots, for that.

Late to the party as usual. I'm no speed demon but in high school I took my friend's dad's 450SL up to 120 on 360. It was the late 80s and there were pretty much no stoplights on it, at all. It was dumb and that seems to have gotten it out of my system, but for one shining moment, I was a golden god.

Seems really weird arguing over Austin's lack of Michelin-starred restaurants when the recurring theme across multiple threads on this site is that Austin is decreasing in quality and fun precisely because it's becoming too expensive and pretentious...
...but this place is surly and it's full of assholes so there you have it.
I'm also not sure an "Austin WTF is wrong with you thread" should be limited solely to crimes of the citizens and their elected officials, but this ain't my site and when the boss says cool it then you cool it.
I'll meet y'all over on the "Old Austin is dead because it has no Michelin-starred restaurants" thread!

Interesting. Not sure I recall hearing that the SEC initially reached out to Texas or it was the other way around. Don’t believe I’ve heard that before.
It's all part of the game. Texas has to say the SEC invited us. If Texas officials say "it was a mutual discussion that was occurring through back-channels for three years before anyone outside the close circle ever became aware of it," that has potential undesirable legal ramifications for UT.

I like fun, interesting, and diverse sets of livery. The sport is also a show and that's an important part of it.
Sure, I would trade being stuck with 20 all-exposed-carbon-fiber cars for more competition for 1st place, but that's a different discussion for me.

Man, the liveries/designs just make me feel like this season is just going to be a repeat.
Apart from the green Bottas (I don't even know what that team is calling itself), everything just kinda looks like a repeat of last year like the teams are sticking with the status quo.
Well the AlphaTauri/Visa Cash App car is pretty different, and in a good way, but yeah most teams aren't shaking it up. I expect the RBR to look basically the same, so I guess the only remaining question is, will the Silver Arrows be black this year, or not?

T2, Jurassic Park, Crimson Tide. Had these all on laserdisc and then DVD. The early days of Dolby Digital blew my mind.

Twister may have been the first DVD I ever owned. For awhile there it was what we'd put in to brag about the stereo system.
Twister, and then Gladiator a few years later. Absolutely the movies we used to shake the walls in the house every time we upgraded our surround sound systems.

In the new power 2 landscape we should only be doing home/home with BIG or ACC teams anyhow.
ACC? No thanks. FSU or Clemson, okay. But unless you're talking basketball, nope to the rest of them.

Only 0.1" so far up here in NW Travis but the forecasts are calling for heavier stuff in the 11-1 PM range. Bring it on.

Texas A&M plans to take over old Macy's building for new e-sports facility
University officials will visit the site at Post Oak Mall this week to discuss turning it into the home of over 2,000 students active in e-sports.

GET YOUR LICKS IN NOW. Aggy is about to be swimming in "sports" championships. Kroger Field is last century, it's now all about Macy's Lan Cafe.
Their new champions factory fits in so well with the other architecture on campus
<Holy Grail>But you see... we've already got one!</Holy Grail>
And of course, ours is sponsored by Alienware...

Reminds me of that pleasant STR livery from a few years back. I'm cool with it. Definitely WAY better than the "natural" carbon fiber cars we've seen so far.

This thread needs more activity because I refuse to join one of those weird jeep sites.
OK, git your Jeep and start the mods, then post pics!
We've probably done all the mods we're going to. About a year ago we wore out the stock tires and moved up to 35s. You can do that on a stock Rubicon because it already comes with a bit of a factory lift compared to the other trim packages. I think some of the brand-new Rubis are even coming with 35s as a factory option, I'm guessing it's as a result of competition with the new Bronco.
That competition is good, Jeep had been resting on its laurels for quite some time, with really no other true competitors in the same market space. Now the Bronco is pushing Jeep designers to change and innovate.

I've driven I/Os my whole life and I can pretty much put them anywhere on a dime.
When we got our current X45 it was a huge and lengthy lesson in humility, learning how to maneuver that large inboard.
And as y'all have mentioned, that "large" boat is pretty small compared to modern towboats. It's crazy.

Like all their other turditions, they made it up. Are they counting those fake NCs they decided they should claim (and no one had ever heard of) when they moved to the SEC?
And also does their conference championship total include those fake B12 football conference titles they put on their stadium, when they tied for the division and didn't even play for the conference championship?
