Last two posts have doomed us. Dropping tree fiddy that we get nailed with some crap weather around spring break.

We usually do, but it's typically the "cool and rainy" kind rather than the "below freezing for a week so your electricity goes out and all your pipes burst" kind.

texags before 2023 season: sip roster overrated, teams will be frothing at the mouth to beat tu on the way out, at least 5 or 6 possible losses on the schedule

texags after 2023 season: sips obviously had the best roster in conference, they had a joke of a schedule, anything less than undefeated is a sign that their coach sucked

Same as it ever was.  Simple rubes gonna simple rube.

Tried to go work out. Gym was closed. Two dudes were arguing over a machine. One dude stabbed the other guy. It's closed until the cleaning crew can arrive to clean up the blood.

One person was arrested following a stabbing inside an LA Fitness in North Austin, according to police.

The stabbing happened at around 11:30 a.m. Friday at the gym on West Anderson Lane, near Burnet Road.

Police aren't sure what led up to the stabbing but said a man was taken into custody behind the building after running from the scene. He's expected to be charged with aggravated assault.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Well there's your problem right there.  Get out of the 'hood, go to a gym in a better part of town.  The mean streets of Allandale and Crestview are no place for gentle folk.

Bunch of games will get pushed to ESPN+

Don't they have some branch of ESPN+ that's branded as SECN+?

They already have more baseball games than slots, so I'm assuming it's already happening, and that some existing SEC baseball fans could tell us how it's currently working.

  5. Yeah it's really something they've brought on themselves, they don't HAVE to use prime and their race to the bottom of profit margins is entirely their own fault.

Legalize marijuana. It’s a win win. Helps the farmers. Government loves to create new groups and shit. Create a marijuana department.  Have oversight. Tax it and use the taxes on state infrastructure. I started doing gummies over a year and a half ago for my rheumatoid arthritis. Game changer for me. I have THC ones and ones without. Stop penalizing people for using it or selling that specifically. No prison time. No jail time. Nothing on your record unless you are a violent cartel type. It gets rid of the fentanyl problem with government oversight and start moving major industries (manufacturing plants and such) south of the border. Partner with disadvantaged countries for schools abroad. I have so many ideas since I got sober and started doing weed. If my family and friends hadn’t loved me enough I’d be on a drunk bender. Every fucking week.
Now I’m an elite assassin. A phantom. I’m a badass now.

Bravo!  This non-sequitur brought to you by Marijuana!

I mean, aren't we eventually going to run out of vintage clothing to resell?  And THEN what?

Mark my words, the custom-tailored vintage clothing Chinese knockoff market is about to explode.  Best get in on the ground floor...

  8. Late to the party as usual.  I'm no speed demon but in high school I took my friend's dad's 450SL up to 120 on 360.  It was the late 80s and there were pretty much no stoplights on it, at all.  It was dumb and that seems to have gotten it out of my system, but for one shining moment, I was a golden god.

  9. Seems really weird arguing over Austin's lack of Michelin-starred restaurants when the recurring theme across multiple threads on this site is that Austin is decreasing in quality and fun precisely because it's becoming too expensive and pretentious...

...but this place is surly and it's full of assholes so there you have it.

I'm also not sure an "Austin WTF is wrong with you thread" should be limited solely to crimes of the citizens and their elected officials, but this ain't my site and when the boss says cool it then you cool it.

I'll meet y'all over on the "Old Austin is dead because it has no Michelin-starred restaurants" thread!
