Cochon is a good choice. My favorite for dinner right now is Peche, and that's a good spot for oysters as well.
In the CBD, Seaworthy has a good selection of oysters. I think they have a happy hour deal, and Superior may as well. Have not eaten at Superior but have heard good things from others who have been.
Superior is definitely good and has decent happy hour specials including $1.25 oysters.

And I am in favor of sunlight after work. Pick one.
Yup I prefer DST but either way my vote is for sticking to one or the other and not ever changing again.

The Stallion chicken fried steak and yeller gravy.
I too have a lot of memories at the Drum and will miss it.

And yet, this big bad program moving around would be met with a collective yawn when it comes what they add to the B1G or what the SEC is losing outside of a mindless army of yokels.
Oh yeah, I'm not asserting that it would matter to anyone other than the ags.
-
The B1G would gladly accept TAMU for the same reasons the SEC did-- access to Texas recruiting and Texas televisions without bringing in a threat to the established powers of the conference. This rumor is almost certain to be completely false, but it's also plausible, which is why people are still discussing it.

Isn't Piquet Brazilian?
Euro... Brazilian... whatever it takes.

Euros are racist AF. They don't need any external promptings to say racist shit.

Oh man not me. I love poring through a weighty tome, turning page after page, watching the remainder dwindle through time and dreading the moment I turn that final page and end the story. Tablets can never duplicate that feeling.

It's not just poors who bitch about prices. Rich olds bitch about prices too, 'cause back in my day...

If I didn't know better I'd be hopeful it would lead to turmoil and dysfunction and RBR losing momentum and losing races, but we just aren't that lucky.

so they do their own road maintenance, fire dept, police dept? Seems like at a smaller scale, those things would be more expensive. What am I missing?
The part where you have as little to do with the City of Austin government as possible, which is invariably a net positive.

solo uno but I believe the director is making dune messiah
Definitely left it open for that, and after this weekend's opening box office I'll be shocked if it isn't greenlit ASAP.
15 hours ago, NeverMarryAStripper said:There has been some talk that Dune Messiah and Children of Dune will be lumped together.
Oh man I hope not.
4 hours ago, hobbes2702 said:That seems impossible
Yeah, I think it'd be more likely to split Dune Messiah into two films rather than lump those two together. That's the Holloywood SOP now, anyway.

Oh boy, you have no idea.

4xe still has a muffler as the battery is only for quick local trips so it only has a range of 25 miles... on a good day. Saw a couple online that apparently go on quickly. Just have to convince my wife to let me then get one of those cargo basket thingies for the hitch. Anyone used those?
Ah okay, shows what I know about the electric Jeeps (which is, apparently, nothing ).
There are likely some Youtube videos out there that show you what to do, that's how I figured mine out. I had to disconnect the muffler at both ends to get enough room to slide in the hitch, bolt it up, and then reconnect the muffler.
I had one of those cargo baskets on my Tahoe, worked fine for holding ice chests or whatever. It wasn't a name brand, just some Amazon cheapie.

Hey... anyone installed a trailer hitch on their JL? Seems easy enough... my wife's new 4xe has less storage space since she chose one with upgraded woofers so the trunk is smaller and the underseat storage is gone thanks to the EV battery.
Did one on our JK but never on a JL. On the JK it was pretty tight because the muffler is right there in the way. This obviously wouldn't be a problem on the 4xe.

Pho Phung Luu is the best pho in Austin.
I doubt it but I'll give it a try. Every time someone suggests a place I haven't tried, I'm always willing to try it, but inevitably when I go there I'm disappointed and wish I'd just gone to Tan My instead.

The all-encompassing-non-Texas-weather thread would be appropriate, but anyway, hope you're staying safe and don't end up in Oz. Unless you want to go to Oz.
