  1. Why the fuck are they allowing fucking apps to vote? You're begging for screw-ups and outright hacking.
  2. I know this isn't indicative of anything about tonight, but here are the results of two satellite caucuses.
  3. You aren't 27 or if you are you must have grown up around nothing but upper middle-class white people. I live and grew up in Georgia, I know of very few people my age (32) in the Atlanta suburbs where any of them beyond the super white dudes who grew up in very well off circumstances that support the GOP (and even those guys often are more libertarian). I haven't heard anyone under 40 act scared of the "SOCIALISM" label.
  4. holy shit, Bloomberg does absolutely nothing to energize voters and has a very awful past because of his implementation of a Stop and Frisk system. He is a less stupid Trump, I'd fully expect him to ratchet up the War on Drugs and implement means testing for social welfare programs. The only reason he is polling well is because he's running ads in state where basically no other candidate is, I fully expect him to drop by Super Tuesday. Klobuchar literally couldn't not fucking answer this with her own awful past either,
  5. Welcome brother! I think a lot of people, not just my fellow millennials, are sllllowy starting to come around to this which gives me a lot of hope. It's all anecdotal and I have no idea how the caucuses will really go tonight (given that it's such a stupid process and shitshow) but I've seen tons and tons of stories of Bernie volunteers in Iowa about how they've gotten a lot of older voters to support Bernie. They obviously aren't huge MAGA shitheads, but they're very upset about their material conditions and see both parties as doing very little except on occasion. To be blunt, if you bash it into peoples' heads that M4A, a livable minimum wage, a real commitment to getting of fossil fuels is something so many other countries poorer than the US have been able to do. We've, particularly boomers, have been conditioned to think the world is going to collapse if we ask for too much and rock the boat but it won't.
  6. Just one more time, fuck Iowa for going first. Keep your stupid process and go early, but you can't go first anymore and no caucus state should.
  7. This is so damn good haha
  8. Sorry some of us seeing our country as a festering pile of shit if you don't make a really good wage. I'm very lucky to have been allowed to pay over $6k to have our daughter's birth beyond our premiums because I came from a family that allowed me to not incur a huge amount of debt after graduating college, just 5 figures worth. And don't tell me that all the other candidates are really pushing for M4A when the only other one who released a similar plan already started a bargaining process before the first votes were even cast in the primary. You still have a huge amount of wealth privilege from the things you've shared on this board, none of us are claiming you aren't facing crazy discrimination and that isn't important when trying to move the Democratic party forward. There are those of us who have literally talked with people who have withheld necessary treatment (as in I worked for the American Cancer Society's national call center in Austin when I lived there) because they couldn't afford their deductibles, out-of-pocket expenses, drug co-pays, etc. Please take my advice and go on twitter and post all these white cishet men that are being toxic to minorities, transgender people, women, etc. as if Bernie's base right now isn't one of the most diverse if you've watched any of his rallies or supporters speak. Again, I remind everyone about 2008 where Hillary literally insinuated that Obama wasn't an American and Obama called her a pathological liar in a rally.
  9. Please do so and post the results. I'd love to shame any "Bros" that are transphobic as we don't need any of that shit in our movement. Otherwise you are wildly speculating and we're going to call bullshit.
  10. 100% you have absolutely not spent any time with actual DSA members o if you seriously think they're transphobic. Basically most of the trans people I see on Twitter overwhelmingly support Bernie.
  11. It'll be so nice to watch you rot away in a re-education camp while we take literally all your money and give them to transgender biracial families that burn the flag every morning.
  12. The good Nate not buying it.
  13. God dammit Pete
  14. Oh no, it's like they've literally forgotten how they've constantly bitched about the "Bros" handing Trump the election because they didn't vote for Hillary. She is a huge hypocrite.
  15. The party can evolve or die, it's pretty simple.
  16. Yeah, that's not a bad thing when the party has for the past few decades slowly and slowly moved towards the right and damn near every youngish person I know really don't give a shit about being in the "party" and rather just want more progressive reps. Don't know why that causes so much more consternation, if he ran as an independent then he'd guarantee Trump's re-election.
  17. Can't imagine how angry some of y'all were that you immediately couldn't call Tlaib a Bernie Bro. I'd pay you so much money to watch you go up to every single one of those women on the stage last night and call them a Bro and lecture then about civility.
  18. Yep, stupid women of color should be grateful that Hillary have them their blessing to run.
  19. Congrats on your McSweenys article! https://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/i-support-strong-women-of-color-unless-they-are-politically-to-my-left
  20. Lol the Palestinian woman should love HRC who at best was extremely supportive of Israel's occupation.
  21. 100% chance that is going to be used in an attack ad and I'm here for it.
  22. Rashida Tlaib can be the one to work the guillotines.
  23. If you really want to blame the "Bros" for not coming out in the general election again then please DNC make it look like you're trying to rig the nomination.
  24. Iowa hasn't been big for Republicans but for whatever reason has been much of a predictor for democrats in the past several cycles.
