Yep. And the social media world is FULL of right wingers spouting how this was obviously a pro hit with a vast conspiracy involving Dems at the highest levels…while meanwhile, anyone who has ever made a 150+ yard shot with a 30/06 (a class that surely includes dozens of posters on here) was thinking “wait, this means I’m a professional assassin?”

It’s funny how curated everyone’s algorithm is. I’m not seeing any of that. I’m mostly seeing dumbasses getting themselves fired for gloating.

My son is a junior in HS. Just got home from band. He said they had big discussion in his 7th period. Kids mostly quiet. Talking about the importance of free speech and how wrong it is to harm someone because you don't like their beliefs. I was glad to hear it. Wasn't glad to hear there were kids watching the video so he had seen it.

As far as Charlie Kirk’s reach goes, he said every kid knew his was whether they, or their parents, agreed with him. Get the feeling this will be one of those teen moments for him that we all have that we’ll never forget.

It has rattled my 16 and 19 year olds for sure. If you have kids, talk to them.

  3. Nine Inch Nails crushed it in Atlanta last night. I can’t think of another band that has delivered, every time, like they do for as long as they have. It was my 8th time seeing them, the first being Lollapalooza in 1991. That first NIN album is older now than Led Zeppelin was when I was in college.

    Great setlist

NIN is now tied for 2nd with Isbell for the most times I’ve seen a band live. Mastodon still holds the top spot.

We don't know at what point he corrupted the contact. The corrupted contact also clearly had in depth knowledge about the ship, so he could have modified the cyropod himself potentially. There could be thousands of these ships and they were hacking data remotely to determine which had content for pirating. The contact could have been woken up in route in order to accomplish some task. Not everyone was sleeping the entire duration of the 65 years. They could also hack the cyropod remotely to wake the guy up. Also, there are no real Squid Billies, Xenomorphs, or TiLeeWorms in real life.

It's an honest point of contention regarding continuity but there are a lot of logical work arounds that the writers chose to forgo. If you choose to refuse suspension of disbelief based on a singular easily debatable continuity item that writers saved us from having to sleep through, and instead shit on a great episode of TV, that's certainly a choice.

    Single?

  5. Appreciate all the tips. I was Olympic lifting pretty heavy with a trainer up until about six years ago and haven’t really done shit since. I lost 70 lbs over the last year and need to put the muscle back. I started this week and three sets of ten pushups wasn’t too bad, but I need more stuff, especially core and legs. Pickle ball season starts back up this week and I’ve already had one torn calf in the last year or two that sidelined me for a couple months. Don’t need that bullshit again.

Twas the best hour-long Alien movie ever

Except for, once again, the xeno has a target dead to rights and then the victim somehow gets away at a slow jog. It’s such a lazy plot device and they could have done that better imo.
