  1. With the protection they have for their future scapegoats quarterbacks, they're going to be dialing up 9-1-1 frequently. Fortunately for them, the personnel they have stashed on the defensive side of the ball looks about right to run a 9-1-1 scheme.
  2. Shag Surl suggestions: 1. You guys need capes to go with those orange pants 2. Need more stuff that just says OKLAHOMA and COWBOYS without the state
  3. Not so fast my friend. Backing out his long carry of 15 yards leaves only 46 on the other 19, meaning that he generally gets less than 3 ypc. He makes up for it receiving, though. He netted -1 yard on 3 receptions.
  4. Simple. Require each adult ticket holder to drink at least one caffeinated or alcoholic beverage at the turnstiles.
  5. After watching OU eat a big mouthful of 49-0 and deciding himself to skip spring football, he realized that while he was assigned Longhorn at matriculation, he identifies as a Sooner.
  6. I know that sportsbooks like to hedge somewhat, but this seems like the kind of action of which they can't get enough. If you break it down into the quantum and solve the relevant schroedinger equations, you will discover that the condition "CU championship 2023" has no real solutions.
  7. Don’t forget uncontrolled diabetes and terrible dental hygiene.
  8. Hard to know whether he lost that toe more because of the gravity of the injury, technical issues with his index/early procedure(s), poor protoplasm, poor cooperation with his postop restrictions, bad luck, or some combination. I have never had a sports surgery end in an amputation (this is where I would knock on wood if I were superstitious). edit I say toe, but that’s only because there’s one toe that matters more than the others.
  9. Actually not far off a Gig’em yell practice special
  10. Yes, as in that coach may be super-expensive to fire and may not know it yet, but he is soon to be deep-hearted.
  11. If I am reading correctly, the current sentiment is F Ron Holland.
  12. Not as many people are familiar with the "Doppel-G-ie" (ggie), but it is pronounced "ssit," somewhat similar to the "Esszett" (ß) making the "ss" sound.
  13. Quasi adoptive parent of player. Person I’ve known for over a decade.
  14. Sanders literally had his staff clean most these guys’ lockers out. If you showed up and your stuff was in a pile, you knew how your post-spring-game meeting was going to go in advance. Some of the guys, like Courtney (the one who publicized the lack of access to Hudl), still had lockers but chose to leave.
  15. After the fact, this is going to be a case study in something. For now, 🍿

    49-0

Point: OU was without Dillon Gabriel when we curb stomped them last year Counterpoint: Gabriel started in their 6 other losses, and Venables coached all 7
  17. As bad as they are, technically aggy are not FCS.
  18. Are you [sic] of the corrections?
  19. “If you need a QB real bad, we’ve got a real bad QB” edit: context— with regard to aggy/FSU offer
  20. Would be very amusing should Bama put all its eggs in the Tulane basket only to learn too late that Gator found a sugar daddy willing to outbid the gumps.
  21. That's nice, but really our former conference-mates that spent so much energy hating us can jump in a lake. If they want to play us, they can get in line like every other tier 2 school. I like the idea of a marquee H/H. I would be in favor of having two models for the other two non-con games: HH/H for tier-two opponents and pure H for the "filler" game. That would give us 4 conference home games, 2 (occasionally 3) non-con home games, the RRS, 4 conference road games, and (usually) 1 non-con road game (coordinating to ensure our marquee road game doesn't happen in a tier 2 travel year). Schools may need a little cash from us for the non-marquee agreements, but our home games generate enough revenue that both schools can come out ahead by playing them more at DKR. I would be in favor of giving scheduling priority to schools that increase recruiting exposure and are travel-friendly (i.e., no return away games in places like Manhattan, KS). Even the "filler" games need to be someone worth watching, even if the game isn't in too great of doubt. No App State, haha.
  22. As a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with experience covering P5 athletes, I’m afraid even my professional opinions on this matter are officially CR material.
  23. They finished with equal or better conference records than teams in both divisions: middle tier. AKA tied for last place.
  24. It’s the four most challenging years.
  25. If, as a Texas football player, you could imagine (let alone execute) a transfer to OU, you need out of the locker room post haste. It’s like a deep-sea creature dreaming about a lava flow.
