General question. If the ball is set on the hash mark, can the holder set up in the middle of the field and have the long snapper snap it there?

Army ????
What a bunch of morons.
Well, they'd have to know how to spell the guy's name to do a google search.

Done DeWalt and Milwaukee. I'm slowly replacing them with Metabo. https://www.metabo-hpt.com/us/main-navigation/catalogs-literature

So does tomorrow start the legend of 12th Man A, 12th Man B, etc? How many volunteers will come out of the stands to fight for old Army?

And may 2024 be the year we oust the carpetbagger Cruz and replace him with someone who actually wants to serve the State of Texas.
I cannot tell you enough how much I learn from you folks. And how many chuckles I've gotten as well. Truly a touchstone of sanity for me at times. Thanks. And thanks to Blacklab and Imma for adding this forum.

The Natchez Trace is pretty. And it’s awful if you have to drive on it for any length of time!
We did it at night the first time, like 50 miles of complete darkness and maybe one or two other cars on the road. Very eerie feeling.

Curious what you guys think Strength and Conditioning and depth will play in this game. Seems like Sark and Co have done a good job keeping a lot of talent in rotation to get guys like Ant Hill and Muhammad playing time and experience. And then I would have to imagine our summer trainings and games in the heat would increase our guys' stamina?
One of the coaches in the UW article mentioned playing fast to wear out Sweat and Murphy. I saw other teams do that this year and we didn't step off a cliff when our 2nd teamers got in to give the starters breathers. It always seemed that by the end of the game, both our lines had worn the opponents down.
Does UW have the same caliber depth?

Ugh, social media doing its thing to guarantee a backlash and help the orange menace. This applies only in D.C. and the extraordinarily rare situation of a federal charge of simple possession. The D.C. part is significant, the rest isn't. He can't pardon for state crimes. The youths are gonna figure that out and blame him for not pardoning them too without considering that he doesn't have the authority.
Good point, but it can be pivoted to show how Biden is leading the way on changes that need to be made. Doing all he can, and if you didn't get pardoned then look to your state to vote in people who will follow his lead. If nothing else, it starts the conversation and should eventually render some reliable statistics.

Not to explicitly ask if it's the chicken or the egg, but I remember reading about food desserts years ago and how Dollar Generals/Family Dollars dominate in poor areas, and read about how larger chains and healthier options can't survive in poor areas because poor people don't value and buy the same foodstuffs (fresh foods, etc.) at the volume, rate and margins as other economic demographic areas do.
So, do healthy/good options not exist in those areas because they need to be subsidized?
No, it just costs more for these smaller stores to maintain good fresh produce, baked goods and meat. They have to charge more for produce for instance to make up for the spoilage they will have because they don't sell in as much volume. My community of 1500 has no local store, we go 10 miles to a town of 1200 who has a Brookshires and two different dollar stores. Then 45 miles further either way is a Kroger, HEB or Walmart Superstore. It's very hard for these small groceries to stay competitive and keep their doors open. Its not that the people are poor and make poor choices, but more like they have fewer choices. A lot of these folks have gardens or neighbors with gardens too. Many of them either hunt or have friends who hunt or fish and they have freezers full of meat and pantries full of home canned goods. Not everyone, but many do.

Now we just need to get a list of all those pardoned in Texas and go register them to vote.

I was glad someone eventually asked Emma a question in the press conference. She's such an important part of this team.
Did anyone else catch the lengthy shot of Cook scouting our game v Wisconsin. Did it look like he had dozed off to anyone else?
I don't think it was JE who prompted Ella to say no comment to the question about responding to Murray's 'next 3 years' line. I think it was either Asjia or Madi.
I'm proud that UT athletics plays with so much sportsmanship. This team is no exception.

I'm thinking that most of the portal and NIL issues will be regulated in some way by the end of this decade.
I also see violence in the sport and resulting injuries will probably do more to change the game than anything.
There will be different levels that play different versions of the game, where the mid to lower tier play something akin to 7 on 7, and the upper tier will play full contact to feed the NFL machine.
Also climate will play a hand in scheduling, or at the very least push those high tier teams to either play games at night on in domes. No more 11 AM or 2:30 games in August/September at least.

They have swag too. Just in time for Christmas. Spread the word and look good doing it | Mothers for Democracy
Mothers for Democracy is Mothers Against Greg Abbott, but now expanding to a more national level. They are doing all kinds of awesome work for candidates across the state and are working hard with all sizes of counties. Please support this group. They are truly grassroots and not full of a lot of politicos in it to make a living and/or pad a resume.
They also have a sister organization that presents a podcast, and they have just started. The podcasts were targeting the voucher scam and obviously M4D is pushing Gun Reform. They have already endorsed Roland Gutierrez for Senate and I encourage you to check him out. He's real.

It’s going to be hilarious to see Looch and company frame Nolan’s return as Elko’s first big win on the trail.
Soon we'll be seeing "Elko: Junction Boys 2024"

Always admired how UT teams of all sports have humbly gone about winning from the underdog position. This seems to be lining up just like the Shoe at night, 2005 Rose Bowl, winning at Tuscaloosa, and the just recent Women's Vball Championship. Embrace the hate and go on about your business, Horns.
