Who’s laughing? I know it was painful for sure but unless someone took a shot to the face that wasn’t a uniquely violent collision. I had almost a similar collision on a shallow fly playing shortstop in pony league once. Definitely painful.

*On a 4th viewing, it looks like O’Neill’s face might have hit the back of Devers head.

    Read your post.

Pony League vs. MLB... OK. Please keep us up to date with your hot takes.

A hit like that breaks bones or causes concussions.

That was a pretty low speed collision. Can’t see how you’d get seriously hurt from that unless O’Neill fucked up his nose

Tell me you have never been hit without telling me. Damn man. You are one of those who laugh when players get hurt.

Love McCutchen. This is how you do it.

One night in Three Rivers we were walking out of the players exit. Tony Pena was my moms best friend in the DR. Not in the way you asses will think.  I grew up in his house. Anyways, walking out a kid comes up about my age. I was 9. Tony was in a bad mood. Kid wanted a ball signed and he said no. Mom ripped into him like a good Boston Irish woman, told him that ball, that takes you 30 seconds to sign, will mean a life long fan. He turns around, walks back into the club house and came out with a broken down used mizuno glove of his. Gave it to the kid. Pena was one of the most humble players I grew up around. After that he never said no to a kid. Adult asses? Yep.

after World War II, lots of guys would hit the ground when a car backfired

WW2? Shit, i still hate random fireworks. My dad did a few years in VN. Me in other places. We argue about who gets to watch the door.

PTSD is real and both Ukraine and Russia are going to have a lot of cases. I think Ukraine will deal with it better. Um, they seem more compassionate.

Also, is that heinous Hawaii couple...are they standing in an unfilled swimming pool with an electrical outlet in it?  WHAT YEAR IS IT?

Are you 10 years old or just work for aggy?

If Israel were to retaliate, I don't see how Iran wouldn't strike back in kind.

But Israel will. They will push more at Syria and Lebanon proxies.

There could be something else to consider. SA and Jordan helping them means they might have some leverage on Gaza. More aid, let heavy hits, etc. Not saying for sure, but would be nice.

Does Iran have the balls for a repeat attack ?

Watching for more proxy bullshit. Could be global hits, etc.

Yeah, Israel regained a bit of moral high ground yesterday with the attack, which was demonstrated by Jordan and Iraq closing their airspace and the former assisting in defending them. While Israel could bypass Jordan by flying over Syria, they wouldn't be able to avoid flying over Iraq. It seems that the Israeli Air Force would have the air superiority advantage over both of them; I do think it's a risk, and I also don't know if Russia has any air assets in Syria nor whether they'd intervene in protecting Iran (their ally in the Ukraine war). So, that's a consideration. And that doesn't even take into account the risks of escalation in a direct confrontation between Iran and Israel.

If Israel were able to pull off taking out any nuclear facilities or drone manufacturing operations unscathed and without a lot of collateral damage to civilians while also avoiding a wider regional conflict, okay, sure. I wouldn't squawk too much about it. However, I don't think that's feasible any longer. Iran just demonstrated they have the capacity to hurt Israel if they really wanted to with an even larger drone/missile attack. This is a capability Iran didn't have a couple of decades ago when Israel previously bombed nuke shit there.

Simmer down, for the battle will be hotter
Simmer down, can you hear what I say?

It would be a hell of a flight if they had to go around the Peninsula and up into the Gulf region.

  11. My thoughts were it would be a show hit, Israel cannot really hit Iran without shit really going up. So the IAF will focus on Syria and Lebanon when they want to do something vs. Proxies.

  12. Interesting. So if we got 70, others even more, how many of the 150 made it any target? Sounds like there is a lot of new scrap metal out there.

US forces intercepted 70+ drones and at least three ballistic missiles, US officials say

From CNN's Oren Liebermann and Haley Britzky

US forces intercepted more than 70 one-way attack drones and at least three ballistic missiles during Iran's attack on Israel, according to two US officials familiar with the situation.

The ballistic missiles were intercepted by warships in the eastern Mediterranean Sea, one of the officials said. Iran launched more than 100 ballistic missiles in total at Israel, according to a senior administration official.

The US Navy currently has two destroyers in that area, both are guided missile destroyers capable of intercepting missile and drone launches.

US fighter jets were also part of the response to Iran’s attack on Saturday and shot down drones launched towards Israel, another US official told CNN.
