Son, Salah, and KDB are three guys that if you don’t like their game you don’t know ball.

I’ll add Kante

I'm bummed that I plan on being out of town next weekend. The Revs host LAFC next week. But they play on the fake stuff, I'm not sure how that affects Son playing.

Would be a great signing but isn’t Kudus your new starting RW? Savinho is 5x the player Doku is so not sure why City would sell unless they think Cherki is the guy.

Kudus plays as a 10 for Ghana, so this move might be Savinho to RW, Kudus to 10 to cover for Madders and Kulu both being out.

Also, the rumor mill continues

Savinho played LW at Girona. He can play either side.

Bissouma not travelling with the club for PSG match. Disciplinary reasons. Time for him to move on. If we get Eze, I think he's a goner for sure.

"Bissouma has not travelled due to disciplinary reasons."

“He’s been late several times and now this time the latest time was one too many. With everything you need to give your players a lot of love. There need to be demands and consequences and this time there was a consequence.”

Geez, my 5 year old finds this out frequently. But he's 5. Bissouma is 28. COME ON man.

Frank also said they will name the new Captain of the team tomorrow. Romero and Maddison were the vice captains last year, so one of them might be the front runner for the role. But we will see. Ben Davies is the longest tenured player on the team right now, signed in 2014. Romero is tied for 2nd, signed in 2021.

Most of the podcasts I listen to lean towards Romero and hope being captain leads him to wanting to sign long term.

Maybe Davies as more of a club ambassador/Captain, but he's just not going to be on the field enough to have the armband.

Now with Madders being hurt, the other potential name they talked about was Vicario, but way behind Romero.

Romero is tied with... Bryan Gil (July 2021). Gil for Captain? 😅

Man, looking over this roster, I realize that basically we are in a new era of Spurs. WIth the departure of Son, there are no more players from when I first started following the club. Son joined a few years later, but this roster is fully flipped now with both him and Harry gone.

The nature of sport, I know. Still a bummer.

Yup,I thought about this some during the Son departure day and looking at the roster that's left. Other than Davies, no other player was on the roster pre 2021.

I started following this club around 2011, right at the end of the Gareth Bale era. Right into the Kane/Son/Poch era of Spurs having some of the best players in the league at their position and consistently competing for top 4. What a time to be a Spurs fan! As much as we really haven't been that team for a while now, with Son's departure, it really does feel like turning to a new chapter. With all of the youth in the team right now, hopefully this chapter gets to its peak over the next 2-3 years and stays for a while.

COYS!!!! Matchday!

I started following Spurs in 2006 and the team has changed over the years, but it feels more dramatic this year. Anxious to see what the new squad looks like this year. Fingers crossed on getting an Eze deal over the line. That would be big!

And I just want to add - I started following Spurs the year Dempsey joined the squad - 2012-13. Bale made me fall in love with the team. Both would leave that year, Kane would become a fixture a year later. The rest is history. The Europa League and today have made it all worth it.

Next 10 down - much of the same.

I'll say this, the team looks organized, more so than under Ange. They are working together well, a lot of link up play on the attack and extra support on the defense.

Kudus is impressing me.

RICHIE!!!!! DANG!!!!

And Bentancur should have finished that one off. DANG!!!

So we just hit 30 - I'm liking what I am seeing. I won't deny PSG looks a little "off" - I am not complaining. Richarlison is impressing me. He is making PSG work. I wish he was a better straight line dribbler, but everything else looks great. Kudus is looking great, making PSG work big time and getting the best of his side of the field.

This team clearly needs more pieces, but what we have seems to be a solid foundation.

The chances have been there, they just didn't quite get them. Richarlison took a solid shot that required a heck of a save. Bentancur should have put Spurs up. Still if they keep up the pressure, PSG is giving them chances.

I was just about I am liking these set pieces. I am intrigued by the move of having Vicario take free kicks way up to keep more bodies in the box. And the result was a 1-0 lead.

10 minutes passed in the 2nd half and Spurs are rolling. PSG still looks out of sorts and Spurs are taking advantage. That Romero goal was so good. A two goal cushion is just what this team needed. Tack on 1 more and we know how that goes.
