hearts are owned by a trust but this past summer tony bloom (owner of brighton hove) purchased 29% of the hearts trust for £9.9m and the results of a single transfer window have been astonishing

bloom made his fortune primarily through highly sophisticated and data-driven sports betting, particularly asian handicap betting, leveraging his mathematics background to build successful online betting companies like Premierbet (which he sold) and his major enterprise, Starlizard, a secretive betting consultancy using complex models. He also profited from professional poker, selling online gambling sites, and successful horse race betting

his family has multi-generation connections to albion dating to the '70s, he took over as chairman in '09 and oversaw their return to the top flight in '16 after 34 years down

Celtic vs. Hearts (Premiership 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿)
Auston Trusty
Sunday, December 7, 10 am ET (📺 CBS Sports Network)

The top two teams the Scottish Premiership will meet on Sunday in Glasgow when Celtic host Hearts.

This Scottish season has not gone as expected as neither Old Firm team currently sit atop the table. Instead, Hearts has the edge. But Celtic could leapfrog their Edinburgh-based opponents with a win.

U.S. national team central defender Auston Trusty is expected to start for Celtic and he remains in a tight battle to make the World Cup roster next summer. He has gradually taken over a starting job since fellow American Cameron Carter-Vickers suffered a Achilles injury in October. Trusty had a good November where he started for the U.S. national team in a 5-1 win over Uruguay and in a big 3-1 Europa League win over Feyenoord in the Netherlands. A win over Hearts would be another big step in positive momentum for the former Philadelphia Union homegrown.

But this game will also be played with another important storyline in that Wilfried Nancy has now taken over as Celtic’s head coach. Earlier this week, it was announced that Celtic reached a deal with the Columbus Crew to allow him to sign on with Celtic. Nancy was widely considered one of the best MLS coaches over the last decade for both Montreal and Columbus.

Many in the Celtic fan base are skeptical of Nancy but if he succeeds with Celtic, it could open the door for more MLS coaches to have opportunities in Europe.
