Yeah. It’s warm right now. Those were pics from last year.

To get this back on elections instead of weather. One of the best things about Colorado is how they inform the voters on the topics. The first time I received the official ballot information book with each agenda clearly explained with arguments both for and against the law/amendment, I was genuinely shocked. The state actually wants voters to be informed as to the pros and cons of each issue. Being able to sit with a computer, the Blue Book and a cup of coffee may be the best voting experience anywhere. Then just find a drop box or mail it in. So much better than "what the F are you up to with this proposition?" while standing in a voting booth in Texas.

Did the same

Sat down with my blue book, checked some endorsements for school board, and then the dog and I took a nice walk to the nearest drop box.

Then you can sign up and get a text when you ballot has been collected and counted.  Or if there's a signature issue.

Just wanted to say that I spent the last 2.5 weeks working for Jefferson County elections, and the amount of work and organization that goes into running an election is absolutely jaw-dropping.

And any fucking moron who claims than an election is rigged in this country should be required to work on one.

I get unreasonably mad when I hear people (we all know who they are, but in the spirit of the thread I won't name names) shitting all over mail in voting.  It is extremely safe, secure and easy. Every sate should do elections like CO and a couple other states do. Instead we've got folks trying to roll everything back to waiting in line to vote at the elementary school.

I live in Arapahoe but very close to DougCo border. It’s been turning steadily D for years now.

Drive down to Parker and tell me that again.

Springs is like most Texas cities -- the city itself is blue (they have a Dem mayor), but the suburbs are deep red.  It's just hard to picture that because of the prominence of Dobson's organization and the AFA. But most of the AFA people live in Monarch or Falcon or one of the other suburbs.

Let's not forget the Army base just south of town.

I was on "ballot transport," so we drove around the county every day unloading the ballot boxes.  Every couple of days, we'd have one of the in-person voting places (VSPCs) on our route.  Every time I went into one of those places, there were a bunch of election employees there doing nothing, and no people voting.  I think the most ballots we collected from one of the VSPCs before yesterday was 28.

Also, JeffCo has this gigantic machine that reads the signatures off the ballots and matches them to the signature on file in the registration in a split second.  It's an incredibly cool piece of equipment.  It generally matches about 2/3rds of the signatures on the first pass.

Yeah, my wife has a friend that lives in Parker and it’s fucking awful out there. I have no idea why she bought a house out there. Well, I do know, but I wouldn’t prioritize my budget on luxury handbags and skincare over living in a non-MAGA hellscape, but that’s just me.

Funny thing is, I used to live just north of Parker at 470 and Gartrell.  The Parker weirdness doesn't go north of 470.  It does go south, though. Franktown, Elizabeth, Castle Rock are all very MAGA.

Well yeah. There will always be pockets. But it’s gone 67/33 R to 52/45 R since 2004.
