  1. This has become my go-to for just about everything Italian that I cook. You can get it on Amazon. Game changer. Believe it or not, add some of that and a little salt and pepper to a jar of this and it's a red sauce that's pretty close to just about anything you can make from scratch. I'm a stickler for homemade sauce and if I can make a 10 from scratch, this is solid 9 every time. Stumbled onto it out of pure laziness and now it's hard to justify doing homemade. It's still fun to do homemade just for the purity and nostalgia and authenticity and all that, but when looking at getting all the ingredients and a lot of prep and hours of cooking vs. a few minutes with this, it's hard to beat. Thank me later.
  2. Any of you Nebraska guys hearing anything? Posted in the the Deion thread… Sports radio station The Fan in Dallas reporting Former Cowboy Deion Sanders has accepted the Nebraska job according to source. Haven’t seen it anywhere else.
  3. They’re the Cowboys flagship station. Announced it as “former Cowboy Deion Sanders…” I’m sure ole Prime still has a lot of Cowboys connections

  5. Having lived in both, I can assure you...Dallas >>>>>>>>> KC Perfect description and examples. Found all of that plus some to be the case when I lived there. Pretty much. The most annoying part is that they think they're really something special. They're the most wannabe big city I've ever been in. They're kind of the aggy of cities. Think they're better than they are in just about every aspect, without enough self-awareness to know what they really are.
  6. Yeah except Nebraska wasn’t the only team who thought he was a hot commodity. He was on most lists. He was pretty much Herman 2.0 except Frost had an undefeated season. Very few people viewed that as just an “emotional hire”
  7. Has to be something along these lines. They’ve got ousux and Indiana in the next 3 weeks. Maybe they thought those are both losses with how Frost had them playing but maybe a change could at least give them a shot against Indiana. So, is it worth $7.5M for a shot at an extra win and a 3 week head start toward a hopefully better product than what they’ve been seeing (couldn’t be much worse)? Not to mention a 3 week head start on finding the replacement? Probably becomes pretty easy to justify when you look at it that way.
  8. How was it an emotional hire? It was a no-brainer hire IMO. One of the hottest names around at that time, plus he’s an alum. How could they not make that hire?
  9. Yeah they gonna be all like “we gettin Saban.” You’ll take Charlie and like it. Or “we gettin Urban.” You’ll take Sark and like it. Gonna be hilarious.
  10. I think old man Rafa just died didn’t he? Guessing that has something to do with it.
  11. Traveling to California sucks. Does that help you? Wife is from there and each trip we’ve taken to visit her parent there gets shiftier and shittier.
  12. Think I read somewhere they got the chance to get the space next door so decided to expand the footprint and do a more upscale concept in the total space
  13. Listen to this man, he’s pre med. Been covered at length in this thread, but the BGE (without a conversion kit) is actually one of the WORST devices for making pizza. All the heat comes from below with none of the necessary heat from the top, because you have to open it and pizzas are meant to be cooked very hot and fast. Only thing worse that I can think of would be an open flame.
  14. You left the part out where you found the hottest girl in the room and told her “we’re all gonna die…might as well bang”
  15. Yeah, well, here's a thought...if they can't handle special order requests, maybe don't fucking offer it.
  16. If there's a special place in hell for people who check their order at the drive thru, there must be a really super duper special place in hell for the lazy incompetent moron who can't do the simple task they are being paid money to do who causes me to have to check my order at the drive thru. Or does your world not work that way? Might be part of the problem.
  17. Well, in fairness, that’s two completely different experiences. Kinda like comparing a Vegas resort to a boutique hotel. I mean, yeah they’re both hotels, and these are both Italian restaurants, but get past that and it’s pretty apples and oranges.
  18. Just out of curiosity...does one of your notes look something like this?
  19. Last 3 pizza orders were messed up for me. Dominos took 45 mins to show up after they notified me the order was out for delivery. Ice cold and one of the pizzas was wrong. Asked the delivery guy what took him so long and he said “no drivers”. Next was my local go-to which is always pretty solid. Asked for extra cheese and it showed up with no cheese. I called them on that one and made them send me a new one. Last one was Pizza Hut, they didn’t get the extra cheese or light sauce memo, “pepperoni lovers” had about 5 slices of pepperoni total, and they sent a brownie instead of wings. I get that these workers have a low level of give a fuck. But the flip side of that is that they’re not being asked to cure cancer here either. I mean, you’ve got one job. And it ain’t rocket surgery.
  20. Huh, we went and thought it was pretty damn good. First I’ve seen anyone not liking it.
