  1. This is correct. And it’s the same for waiters as it is for customers. It’s pretty much society in general. It’s a bell curve. For every handful of asshole customers, there is an equal handful of amazing ones, but most are just neutral. Not dicks, not overly nice, just there. And it’s the same way with waiters. Most are generally pretty good. Outliers are outstanding and opposite outliers are completely incompetent. Flat circle and shit.
  2. Counterpoint…my dog’s a badass.
  3. Anyone here have any experience with it? Mine won't fit in a carry on under the seat in front of me, but he can sit on my lap. Other than flying private every time (that shit gets expensive), what are my options? td/dr - How does this whole "service dog" thing work?
  4. Doesn’t surprise me. If it’s as hard to get into as they’re saying. That’ll go away once the initial hype wears off I’d think.
  5. Article says they don’t really enforce it if you’re still eating and ordering food. Normally I’d say fuck that policy, but with a show, I get it. Especially if they’ve got some flexibility for people who are clearly still spending money and not just loitering to watch the show. If you’re an old, I’d be more worried about the noise level and lack of lighting.
  6. I’d do Sinatra and/or SW personally. Sinatra was the only place we always went every time at least once when we were doing Wynn/Encore a lot. And SW is probably favorite steakhouse in Vegas. Haven’t been to that Delilah place yet, but it looks pretty cool. May be more of a place for drinks though, I don’t know. Also haven’t been to the Mexican place but I bet it’s pretty good, although you might not think so. Do not do Lakeside, Cipriani or Mizumi (sorry @bigup2dahorns ). Looks like all the “clubs” are maybe closed? But other than that, you could just blow it on booze at some of the cool bars around the property.
  7. Never been in the military but I’ve been around my share of boots, both English and Western, and I’ve never heard of it. Based on your research… flair + butterflies + parade + aggy = can only mean one thing, right?
  8. One meal or can you spread it out? And can you use it at bars/clubs?
  9. I think @closetohumping called it first...
  10. If you think that's all Troy (or any announcer) does, you're sorely underestimating how much they work. It's definitely more cushy than a GM or head coach, but those guys work their ass off between games.
  11. Literally every single one of those was Gregory "tackling" a blocker that wasn't trying to block him. They were all pulling to block someone else and Gregory was stopping them from getting there. So, not sure how he could have been trying to "shed" the blocks when they weren't intended for him in the first place. Daring the refs to call holding? Okay, sure (defensive holding rarely gets called on the line, especially on run plays so maybe not a bad strategy). But the rest of that tweet is crap. Most of the defensive line's job is to disrupt whatever the offensive line is trying to accomplish, especially on run plays.
  12. I dunno...why would you smoke a prime piece of beef? Because it's better than smoking a choice piece. Isn't Prego on Greenville?

Is it also known to be lit?
  14. I don't know, but this little project kind of went off the rails. I think the original plan was to have everyone weigh in, then tabulate the votes and develop a master surly dallas top 25 list...but that never really got finished (shocking with us, I know). Pretty sure my list has already changed fairly significantly since my first submission too.

This place supposed to be any good? Because the food in most of their pics looks pretty meh...
  16. I’ve never cheered for the corona virus before. But there’s a first time for everything…is all I’m saying.
  17. Is it the air conditioning in that pic or has ole Gary lost a few lbs?
  18. He has a grandson who currently plays for UT, but whatever. https://texassports.com/sports/football/roster/paxton-anderson/10621
  19. Pictures don't really do it justice. Nor does TV (I wouldn't think). Along with the navy, a lot depended on the section and what part of the stands you were looking at. As would be expected, the niners side of the stadium had a lot more niner fans than the Cowboys side. There were even some complete sections that looked to be about 80% niner fans. But overall, it felt to me like the niners side was maybe 40% SF fans and the end zones and Cowboys side was more like 20%. My section and the sections around me were not even 10% 49er fans. Overall I'd guess it was one third 49er fans total, which I think is pretty normal for most NFL games these days. And noise levels were very much the same. On critical downs, it was very loud for the Cowboys. It was just sort of loud-ish for SF in similar situations. Not even close to "home field advantage for SF" or over "50% niner fans" or whatever bullshit people are trying to sell.
  20. I always found the choice of Mia's Tex Mex to be odd for that dinner. I mean, it's a dinner between the owner of the Dallas fucking Cowboys and his new head coach, which hadn't been announced publicly yet, and you go to fucking Mia's? Nothing against Mia's, but of all the gin joints in town.
  21. Hey pal, he's smarter than Junior. So...yeah...there's that. In all seriousness, Charlotte is probably the smartest one, but of course she's not being groomed to take over. So we'll take Stephen and we'll like it. The one thing I can say about Stephen is that he does not have Jerry's massive ego. He may get it the day he takes the reins. But as of now, he might be an upgrade, at least from that perspective.
  22. Well, I think he technically said, "Absolutely. Very confident." when asked if he was confident McCarthy would be retained. But yeah, always some leeway in these types of things. The problem is, I don't know if a replacement exists that would make Jerry jump. It's easy for us all to look at it and say that Quinn would be an upgrade, but he's not some slam dunk hire by any means. Moore is probably even more of a gamble. I mean, sure Sean Payton, but he's a huge longshot from a contract standpoint.
