  1. I'd get loaded up with sedatives at MDAnderson and they'd make me get a ride home. That process essentially entailed me pointing in the other direction and scampering to my car when their heads were turned.
  2. If I was Israel, I’d bomb the shit out of Iran.
  3. That fat Mario guy is not going to be able to copy/paste this type of information from prior years' spring reports.
  4. You don't like that warm, alien feeling when the contrast is injected? I think it's cool. But I'm also allergic to it so I'm half asleep on benadryl.
  5. Nah, that dude was was lit on something, had been facetiming with one of his friends while fucked up before leaving and googling weird shit about how long you can last outside. Cops think he wandered off, died and was eaten by pigs.
  6. Shaggy dun got old. The drunk thread ain’t what it used to be. More like corn bread and ice tea these days.
  7. Yeah, he moved the goalposts from fighting cancer to cancer risk. Next we'll be talking about other stupid fake miracle cures that get people killed, like alkaline diet and castor beans.
  8. How high we talking about here with these numbers?
  9. I've been through the ringer at MDAnderson for stage 3 colorectal cancer. My oncologist was a self-admitted stats freak. He printed and gave me studies on treatment options for the exact positions I was in, both before treatment and during treatment as my cancer landscape changed. He told me there was no evidence that sugar feeds cancer cells differently from other cells and no evidence you can starve cancer by cutting carbs.
  10. I have it on good authority you get the same treatment for stage 3 colon as well. And the docs take one look at colon cancer in a scope before surgery and go, "yup, that's probably cancer." So probably not colorectal.
  11. Not a fan of due process? Maybe Brazil would fit you better.
  12. I think I'm starting to come around on this theory of everything.
  13. Pffffttt, Thursdays are for half marathons early in the morning.
  14. I quit drinking and lost about 50 pounds. I knew I would lose some weight but I went from fat to almost high school.
  15. I’m sending a prayer to the little league gods that we get knocked down a bracket today. We need to drop six spots to get in silver, get a bye and play close by at 11 or 1:00. If we don’t, it’s a 40 mile drive and early game. And per usual we’ll find out probably around 10-10:30 tonight.
  16. Elon's free speech machine banned me for "harassment" for reminding MTG that she might not want to be lecturing women on Christian values seeing how she was fucking her trainer while married.
  17. Scanxiety sucks ass and there ain't nothing you can do about it unless you want to pop xanax like candy. But it's a hell of a day when you get a good report - in my case the glory words were "no evidence of metastatic disease." Good luck!
  18. An ileostomy should give her motivation, even for a teenager. I've had one* and was extremely motivated to get rid of it. Hope she does well. * ileo and teenager
  19. Well congrats, nothing like seeing your long lost buddy, the number one, leading off on the scale.
  20. Sorry to just butt into your business but my wife has Crohn’s and fought it like a Mfer from age 20 to about 35. She ended up with 2 resections, Remicade and all that and was still flaring up. She ended up controlling it with diet. She popped up allergic to all sorts of common food - gluten, dairy, etc. She cut that out and has been pretty good ever since. No more drugs or flare ups.
  21. They’re awesome! I wasn’t expecting much out of mine but it tracks all the metrics I keep track of and dozens I don’t. After only about six months I consider it a necessary part of keeping fit. Only downside I’ve seen is some of the metrics are crap. The default heart rate zones aren’t accurate and differential heart beat is off, just off the top of my head.
  22. I did that for years and years. You know this, but it s a fucking huuuuuuuge weight off once you get those sorted, or at least controlled.
  23. Shirley there must be a fair number of slobs around here who manage to run a bit between hangovers and meat comas. What you got? Anyone running Houston tomorrow?
  24. Started last year at 232 and weigh 163 today. Goal is to stay below 170. Running my first marathon in two weeks. Unfortunately the number one driver on my weight loss - about 75% - is no alcohol. For me, it’s drink and be fat or no drinks and rum and be skinny. Not much in between.
