I’m watching Bizarre Foods: Seattle right now, they’re doing the Seattle Dog. Grilled, split Polish sausage, grilled onions, cream cheese. That sounds... odd.

It is odd, but after 8 or 12 beers, it's actually pretty fucking awesome.

That seemed to be the general consensus from the people standing around the cart.

And the shitty part is all the AL West teams travel to the NL West cities again next year. Way to be creative, MLB.

Who needs a starting C anyway? Just let HP blue block them.

Whatever. It’s like the reverse of the 94 strike season. I’m just treating it as a massive spring training. May work out well for the Ms.

In 2001 the M's lost 46 games.  Will they have more or fewer losses this season?

I'll say they make a late run and finish about 25-35.

Does anyone give a shit about this as an actual season?  I mean, I'm glad we have baseball again, but the "playoffs" and "World Series" are a joke.  Not that Ms fans have any business thinking about that anyway.

I think the season is a joke, but the playoffs and World Series will be the most normal thing about it.

I mean, there's going to be a massive asterisk next to the "winner".  162 games motherfucker.  Plus playoffs.  That's what it takes to be a champion.

I'd be super pissed if they ever drop from 162 in a normal year, but I don't think I'm going to not count a Yankees or Dodgers championship if they win it. Now if the Orioles win it after being the 16th best team in the regular season then get hot in the playoffs...yeah you might have a good point.

Going to try and use my work VPN to get around the blackout since I don’t have cable. Going to be in Colorado for the next week, so that may actually let me catch a few games.

I use yonder.tv with mlb.tv for all the games.  It is how I get the ESPN ones as well as the post season.

Or you could go to the mlb streams subreddit, which is pretty good.  look for the one most folks have replied on, if possible.  The twitch ones were good yesterday.

Reddit MLB Streams.

Have used it as a displaced fan for multiple seasons now with no computer AIDS.

Well, you can't win 'em all.

Also, we just moved out to Boerne and have Dish network.  They are in a contract dispute with Fox Sports, so we don't get the 'local' Astros or Rangers games.  No worry, last night's game was on MLB network.  Well, they fucking blacked out the game.

OK, we found an extra sports package with ROOT sports, so we got that.  We were watching the pregame show, and right before first pitch "This game is not available in your viewing area."  Motherfucker.

Why doesn't MLB want us to watch baseball?

Spent all night packing and totally forgot about the game. Seems like I didn’t miss a ton.

As a Mariner fan, you could forget the entire season and not miss a ton.

I think they aren't allowing games to be listed until an hour before first pitch.

+1 on availability of Reddit streams last night.  Watched the (Seattle) game With zero issues in Denver.

Reddit MLB Streams shut down a while ago. He moved it here. You need to submit a request for approval

I used it last night to watch the game as yonder.tv failed me (sometimes happens to start a season):

Can't speak to every game, but the Mariners game feed was certainly pretty good (the bilassports one was perfect)

In my opinion blackout rules were the first thing they should have looked at when worrying about gaining new fans.
