  1. My buddy was 35 and had intestine surgery in Oct. There were complications and a stint in the ICU and he was in the hospital past Christmas. He was single and his mom was checking on him today. They had a good conversation while she rubbed his back. She stepped out of the room to call her sister and when she came back 15min later he was gone. Just peacefully. Craig was a character but if I had to tell something about him to describe him I’d say he was born and raised in Boston and was a Southie growing up. He liked to let loose and enjoyed the drink but had the character to stand up for the little guy/gal. Hes that guy who watched over the passed out chick on the couch all night because there were some sketchy people sleeping in the house too. he’s the guy who was nice, polite and loved people but knew all the hustles/cons/grifts and had no problem calling your shit out a mile away. He wasn’t scared of anything and could take a punch. so long partner. I’ll see you when I see you

  2. Canada has been doing "leftist" shit for decades that should have pissed you off long before now, but until you have it spoon-fed to you on Fox News or OAN or NewsMax, you don't care. Seriously, you got played by the media, and there is no shame in admitting that. There is already something being cooked up for next month or the month after that is designed to manipulate and piss people like you off, now that the shine on CRT and fentanyl is wearing off, and the Super Bowl half-time show didn't get enough of a bounce, and once you get bored about caring for truck drivers in another country. You will be outraged like this again in March of April, because that's what the media does to people like you. I know this, because I have relatives who are just like you. They give no shits about stuff that Canada does that normally goes against their beliefs, until the media tells them to be outraged.

  3. So people are all of the sudden upset at a country that has been doing all kinds of stuff they disagree with for decades. Good to see the media is playing you like a chump. For fuck's sake they turn away vacationers who have DUIs, and this outrages you?

  5. Haven't flown anywhere in years. Even pre-Covid it had turned into People of Walmart, skinny edition. But whatever. We did take Amtrak to Philadelphia recently. Over the intercom I could hear an attendant who sounded like a larger, meaner version of Roz from Night Court informing the passengers that anybody who trifled with her concerning masks would be happily, joyfully, let out at the nearest stop. We were in our private room in our powdered wigs and lace ruffs doing whatever we felt like, but I imagine down in the hold, the Irish were kept well-disciplined.

  8. If we're airing our grievances against Canada, my list starts with foisting that human shitstain Ted Cruz upon us. Not that OP would agree, as he likely has a Ted Cruz super poster on the ceiling of his jackshack.

  10. On our flight back from New Orleans a couple of weeks ago, there was a guy who didn't want to pull his mask up before takeoff. Stewardess talked to him for a little while and just when the people around him started grumbling, he complied. Then right before take off she made an announcement and asked if everyone on board agreed to wear their mask properly like we've been doing for the last 2 years. She said it was a lot easier for them to open the door now before takeoff to let anyone off who didn't agree compared to having to do it mid flight. It was funny. You could tell she was out of fucks to give and I don't blame her.

  11. 1 -- if I were Canadian, I wouldn't like this. Not because the government shouldn't have such abilities in limited circumstances where funds are actually being used in furtherance of a crime, but because the burden on the government here is WAY below that. 2 -- Canada should just do what Republican states in the US have done: make it legal to just run over and kill any of those protestors who are blocking the bridge. Easy peasy, totally legal, totally cool.

  13. My thoughts are more with the 6 year old child that trusts his mother implicitly, not understanding why she is hurting him like that, probably thinking he did something wrong. And his life is taken from him before it really even starts. Hurts my soul.

  15. Yep. In this thread. I negged this one, too. In this thread. You went to another thread about Denver to throw one down on me that was completely unrelated. Little snowflake bitch.

  16. Aw, you gonna go around and neg my posts in other topics because I hurt your snowflake feelings? The truck drivers in Canada can get fucked. I don't care about them and I certainly don't care about their temper tantrum they are throwing.

  17. How many people on this thread are actively arguing in favor of these actions by Trudeau. Most of the serious replies, those that aren't merely pointing out what a simple-minded fuckstick you are, seem to indicate that its an overreach. But as pointed out, we dont vote for Trudeau. Foreign countries (even our allies) do questionable shit all the time (like carve up journalists living in america). Did you start a thread lambasting Trump for sucking Saudi dick over the matter? Probably not, but I'm not going to waste my time looking for a nonexistent needle in this haystick of a website. I dont know, why dont you ask the esteemed governor of Florida

  19. I am joining this club. I have not had a drink since Jan 30th. I have a therapist helping me and for now that is working. I am embarrassed, and ashamed at my behavior. I have let it get out of control and said and done things that at the time were not me. I have no memory of the crap I have put my wife through. But she remembers and she has shared those with me, and I have to live with that. January was the last straw and it is time to be a better husband, father, overall person. I would like to share more but my thoughts are all over the place. I may be losing my wife. Demons are very real.

  23. Trying to open the door of an airplane mid-flight to bring attention to a political cause seems like a textbook example of terrorism to me. It doesn’t really matter if your cause is removing the infidels from Mecca or removing a tiny cloth from your fat face. Being unruly and fighting beleaguered flight attendants because of your psychotic and unhinged political beliefs probably isn’t terrorism, but when your argument stands on whether or not violent, antisocial behavior is technically terrorism, you’re on pretty shaky ground.

  26. I'm not sure why anyone is surprised by @Johnny Sack's thoughts in this matter. I mean he's on record as saying "I honestly have never seen a black person working", "I couldn’t vote for someone who uses a black accent", and "I got a black male sentenced to federal life without parole". Some words may have been omitted in the previous quotes but given his practice in the matter, I'm sure he won't mind.

  28. I would be willing to set aside all mask requirements if airlines would outlaw all laptop use for work purposes in flight. Yes, we get it-- you are an important flunky. An overworked important flunky. But once you step on my airplane, you should be sipping your double bourbon and socializing as if you had some upbringing.

  29. Also, unsolicited advice: Don’t top out your DTI regardless of where you think the market is heading. There’s a big difference between what you can borrow vs. what you can meaningfully afford...don’t sell your soul for the sake of this endeavor. A lot will depend on your personality (along with your significant other if you have one), but being house poor can be a special type of miserable…espec if you end up buying at the “top” and don’t see any material appreciation for several years therefore keeping you “stuck” there indefinitely. Home should be a sanctuary, not a prison…don’t take the bait and bust outside of your means. The fact that you’ve accumulated 20% down despite moderate salary means you’re a hard worker and responsible human…keep that train rolling and find something (even if it’s a condo/townhouse) that will allow you to maintain peace of mind going forward. 30. I've flown quite a bit pre covid and during covid. I'm usually a united flyer but I fly whatever is convenient too if united isn't available. Since covid it has been the bum rush to the front guys. Pre covid it only happened once and that was a flight from Taipei to Bangkok. My last flight was coming from Vegas to IAH. Everything was fine and we were actually about 45 minutes from landing and the stewardess asks the guy to put his facemask back on and he just flips the fuck out. He was saying he couldn't breathe. Someone said if we get delayed getting off the plane because of you I'll fucking make sure you won't be breathing. He put his mask back on and was fine

  31. As someone who flew enough last year to keep his 1k status with United, let me say I've yet to see any of these incidents in real life, which I'm grateful for. Maybe us United flyers are just better sheep, I dunno, but I'm grateful. And Fuck Cruz for this. Terrorists should be on the no fly list, and these people who are creating terror on airplanes, no matter the fucking reasons, shouldn't be on planes. If casinos can get together and blacklist unruly/cheating customers across all casinos, why shouldn't airlines be able to do the same thing? Fuck these people. Calm down and behave or learn the train schedules. Fucking Republicans are trying to remove all repercussions of asshole behavior because they know that they've cornered the market on assholes come election time.
