  1. At this point probably only three transfers for A&M fit that category - Scourton, Jaydon Hill, and Reed-Adams. Can't think of anyone else.
  2. "Among the 251 FBS linebackers who played at least 450 snaps this season, Scooby Williams received the second-worst PFF defensive grade (42.1). He also ranked 207th in PFF pass rush grade (58.0), 238th in run defense grade (46.6), tied for 242nd in coverage grade (39.8) and 243rd tackling grade (39.7)."
  3. The Kansas guy is probably going to be a starter. A&M's interior O-line was terrible last season and this guy started all year at guard for Kansas.
  4. Elko's "Fab 4": an OL from Troy, a spare DL from Wisconsin, and a clueless LB + decent DB from Florida
  5. Is this a serious question? Nansen became LB coach at USC in 2016. Do you think BJM was an all-world LB coach at Texas because Hicks, Edmond and Jinkens were All-Big 12 in his first two years on the job? Do you think Diaz was a terrific coach at Texas because Acho and Keenan Robinson were All-Big 12 in 2011? "Development" doesn't mean doing well with experienced LBs you inherited from your predecessor. There are countless examples of coaches who did well with inherited experience the first few years and then fell off once the players who developed under them took over starting roles.

  7. One second-team All-Pac 12 selection in 2018 (for Smith as a senior), and honorable mention All-Pac 12 in 2019 for Houston as a senior. That's it? Those were USC's leading tacklers on what were pretty terrible defenses, in Nansen's third and fourth years at USC: Better hope that's not the best Nansen can do at UT, or we're sunk.
  8. There is also the whole "Johnny Patron" thing to consider with Nansen. Probably not so relevant anymore, but he also did not have a great track record while coaching LBs at USC (big dropoff after 2017). I guess he turned things around at Arizona.
  9. You probably already know this, but just in case; the Seiko SPRK22 is just an imitation dive-style watch, not an actual dive watch like the Submariner. No 12:00 lume pip, no screw-down crown, and just 100m of water resistance. If you want a black-and-gilt proper diver's watch from Seiko take a look at the SPB315 or the SNE586 (Strapcode/Uncle Seiko make two-tone bracelets for both). You'll also get a sapphire crystal and a better 6r35 movement.

  12. First receiver with a 1,000-yard season at Texas since Devin Duvernay in 2019. Hook 'em 🤘
  13. Incidentally, S&P+ is now 51.8% ATS for regular-season games. Fell below the break-even.
