  1. Troy Polamalu's nephew, cousin plays for USC Isaiah Pola-Mao. Just some back ground.
  2. Haha. Doesn’t matter, what matters is what recruits like. Scott did a podcast interview with Chris Steele, to talk about recruiting and his visits so far, question posed was about the large spring game crowds...he said they were great and fun, (example) but you have to consider the game was in Norman, where there is “nothing else to do.” The visibility and support of our former players, who started their own alumni club in 1956, very powerful and involved with the football program and the university itself, is not lost on them. A full stadium, ultimately has nothing to do with the decision of a SoCal kid to go out of state.
  3. Scott Schrader is the best, on TrojanInsider...but it's paid. I'm meeting him at Oaks Christian on Thurs, he is welcomed at every major HS football program and 7 on7 coaches in SoCal. Contrary to popular belief, we're pretty passionate fans, most of us prefer to pay for our insider info because it's a community of knowledgeable fans and insiders that dispense with the click bait BS. this is the best free site, look for posts by HelixTrojan. WeAreSC. https://wearesc.com/forum/index.php
  4. They're interested in both. DJ also happens to be a great baseball player, till we know if football is his sport, they'll pursue both. We do want to maintain our strong Poly culture, we have 13 Poly players on our roster, right there with Utah and Brigham Young. Both have also attended multiple practices.
  5. No recruit is a lock till he sends in his LOI. What I did say was that it would be a shock if Chris did not sign with USC.
  6. USC, still. Kid is a good student, academics and life after football in SoCal very important to him and his family....been to campus at least 100 times. USC closes very well.
  7. That crap looks disgusting....how dare they call it chili! My Latina soul objects.
  8. They're also delusional. After the game, we walked out chanting "We Are....SC!", a chant that originated on the USC campus in the 1930s. Several PS fans yelled back to "get your own cheer". We just smirked back, but it is on record the 1977 PSU cheerleaders that started the chant heard it on a televised USC game. Idiots. https://bwi.rivals.com/news/the-origins-of-we-are-
  9. I'll never forget that chilling moment during the 2017 Rose Bowl when Paterno's image came up on the video screen, and the PS fans went wild cheering....that is one messed up fanbase and culture.
  10. I moved over from the Shag - signed up around 2010 - so some know me here. If you followed USC recruiting over the years, or SoCal 4&5* kids recruitment in particular, most wait till signing day and they take all their visits. Our coaching staff encourages it, sighting they will never have this opportunity again, we want them sure USC is the place. last cycle both Elijah Griffin and Isaac Taylor-Stuart took the majority of their visits to SEC schools, yet signed with USC on signing day. It can be nerve racking, but USC brings in the haul on signing day. Chris Steele, by his own account, has been on the USC campus "a hundred times", and on first name basis with security, lol. This recruitment is like Adoree' Jackson's, he'll take all his visits, say the right thing, but end up staying home. Not saying this is absolute, but my friend Scott missed On only one recruit last cycle, and that was a kid who was torn between USC and Oregon down to signing day morning. Also, Poly kids tend to commit to USC, we have 14 on the team.
  11. It would be the shock of the 2019 recruiting class if he went anywhere else but USC.
  12. So...being on campus as a freshman, and around recruits that show up for practices, these kids don't talk?
  13. Haha, a friend of mine is the owner/publisher of a USC recruiting sight...he missed on only one recruit he had projected to USC, a kid who was undecided till the morning of signing day. It's posted on his site, Levi Jones told him Texas was where De'Gabriel was going to comitt to a month ago. Don't believe me? My twitter account is under the same name, and I promote his site. Scott is really connected to California recruits.
  14. We knew a month ago De'Gabriel was in love with Texas and going to comitt, but at the time I didn't know where to post the info. One of our Texas boys clued us in.
  15. We signed five, which included the number one and two LBs in the nation. great pick up for the Horns, glad he's out of the PAC and we don't have to play against him.
  16. I just want USC to play Texas 6-8 times every 10 years - home and home. I'm tired of the realignment talk. OU really does suck.
