1. There are multiple outlets for you to access to hear his speech.  All of the networks surely don't have to broadcast his expected partisan speech for you to catch his campaigning....

Trump still gets huge ratings on TV, just like Howard Stern did on the radio decades ago.  The networks really are weighing their desire for eyeballs vs their responsibility to the owners of those eyeballs.  I'm going to guess greed wins.... but hope not.

What $ do networks gain by preempting shows with paid ads for a presidential speech with no commercial interruptions?

Asking for myself.

Yes, let's all pretend Supreme Court justices write their opinions and do their own research.

While we're at it, let's pretend our elected representatives read and write legislation.

Good grief.

You are out of your depth on this.  I clerked on federal court of appeals and know many former SCOTUS clerks.  Johnny is generally correct.  Each judge is different, but I know of very few who would leave the work to their clerks.

3. What do you think of Lakewood Smokehouse?
And that's nice about the mac and cheese, RiceOwl. If you go to a BBQ place for the mac and cheese I'm assuming you are a dumb broad or a 12 year old.
Not hating on your review, just maintaining some Texas BBQ integrity here.

Have only been there once too. It’s even closer to my house.

Wife was there with friends and I just nibbled off their plates (I showed up late). I love the concept and the location but what I had just disappointed. The sides were all salty messes, and the only meat that was left was burnt ends. I keep meaning to give it a fair try but it’s just not a place I think to go.
4. It ain't bad. They're trying to cook their meats the right way. Doug Pickering was there for awhile as their pitmaster and he seems to know what he's doing. He's the owner over at Ferris Wheelers now. Food is pretty good there though the service out on the back patio when they're busy is excruciatingly bad. Really good ribs.

I went once not long after it opened. Super expensive and terrible service. Have not been back even though it’s probably within a mile from my house.

Happy to hear others like it as I prefer local businesses over chains.

I ain't afraid to say it....she's the hottest bisexual Senator we've ever had.

Paging @Ramjetfdo  -- can we get Sam's play calls on her bracelet (with Bert in the background)?

...has to with the writing, specifically the fact that every character in every movie nowadays is apparently a comedian. When i think back on my favorite comedies of all time, the characters weren't trying to be funny, they weren't trying to get laughs, they were in and of themselves funny. And that's just it- all they did was be themselves, and it was funny. Now every single character is a comedian.

Im channel surfing yesterday in the 1600's (HBO's and whatnot on ATT), and I landed on the very beginning of a movie where John Cena plays the dad to a high school daughter. I had the channel on for less than 30 seconds and John Cena made five jokes. He's in his bedroom with his wife and he goes on some monologue about eating pussy and was just firing off similes and metaphors and euphemismsms left and right like a goddamn standup routine, a staple of the modern comedy. Every character in every movie gets at least five of the old, "you look like such and such and such", and "that smells worse than whatever the fuck". It's lazy writing, it's not in John Cena's wheelhouse, and unless the idea behind this movie is, "hey let's get John Cena to tell jokes and be funny for two hours", then they're completely fucking it up.

Which reminds me, today's writers think that raunchy automatically equals funny, and that women being raunchy equals HILARIOUS. Well, it doesn't. Stop writing 120 minutes worth of jokes all to be delivered by every fucking character in the movie and start writing funny, original scripts and casting good comedic actors. Start from there and maybe we can have our first great, original comedy of the last couple decades or so.

The guy looks just like Mussolini in that pic.  Jutting out his jaw to try to look less turkey necked and all.

Apparently I'm not the only one who sees it.  Just did a quick google image search for Mussolini and there were at least a dozen comparisons out there.

Here's one.

Many?  Yes.  All?  No.

Hugo makes sense but everyone is so foaming at the mouth pissed, they won't listen.  I get the anger b/c I feel it too.

But that ubiquitous 40% isn't going anywhere so we better find a way to figure out how to get a significant amount to tact in a different direction.  Because the other option is eliminating them....how pissed are you?

Tack.
