We were in bed by 10:30 last night and fell asleep a little after 11.
This morning Mrs. Brat woke up at 6:30 in a cold sweat - temperature was 93.6 - four or five degrees below her normal.
Very lethargic and moving slowly, so I have her drinking Gatorade electrolytes and eating some chocolate candy.
She is now dressed, sitting under a blanket on the sofa, and appears to be dozing off a bit.
    She says she feels better.

She has gotten in this near catatonic state three times since last year.

Wholly shit, have the doctors said what's causing it? That's scary as hell.

You need pictures, Shooter.  X-Ray pictures.  MRI pictures.  Lots of pictures.  Sorry man.

Got an appointment at UTHC on the 8th.

Man, I feel for you. I just about bit the PA's head off when he told me I had to have rotator cuff surgery last August. If it helps, I will say this has been the easiest recovery I ever had. No pain pills since after 12 hours past surgery, just Tylenol. The therapy isn't even that bad now.        T&P's man.

What worries me is that while it feels exactly like prior RC injuries  I've got additional things going on. Super sharp pains running all the way down my arm, and any movement of my arm causes hellacious cracking and popping throughout my shoulder area. Even pain and stiffness up that side of my neck.

Internet runs me about $100/mo. If you have to go satellite, look at starlink. I think it's $125. With a streaming cable package (YTTV, Hulu, etc) you're at $200 or less if you go Philo or other smaller option.) Plus any additional apps of your choosing, as desired. Check things like your cell plan, or other potential service you already have, and see if they come with a service as a bonus. For example, I get Max (ad free, even!) with my cell plan. One less streaming sub to pay for. There's also mobile internet as well. HughesNet (or whatever they call the direcTV/dishTV bullshit internet these days is one to avoid like the plague.)

All in all, I went from a $315 cable bill to $100 and YTTV. Saving around $150/mo. Don't get me wrong, I have the disney trio bundle, peacock, and paramount+ as well, but I already had those and consider that a wash. I'll potentially drop paramount+ after the first of the year, but not sure. Paramount+ also comes with showtime now, at $11/mo total. Not a bad deal at all really, considering it's both for what they were for each.

Then there's other options too, but not sure how much you want to get into something like that. By that I mean you get a fire device, side load an app like Blitzen (sp?), and get everything on TV for $10/mo. More hassle than it's worth for me right now. You can't get in trouble, but they can and you may not have TV one morning and have to find another one.

I know people who use it, and it works fine. But there's always that "what if" that could hit at any moment.

    Ouch! I'm at $126/month now.

    Thanks for all the info.

You need internet and have several options:

1 - your TV is a Smart TV so it has built in apps on it.

2 - you can buy an external device (Roku, firestick, etc) and use that.

In my experience, buying an external device is easier to use and doesn’t get as clunky as using the built in apps on the TV, although they will both work in their own way.

There are a ton of free apps that are out there (Pluto, Tubi, etc) that have movies and tv shows. Similar to a cell phone, there are different apps you can download and navigate through.

You can pay for a service (we have YouTubeTV but there’s also Hulu and other options). We pay $80 or so for YouTubeTV and it works on all the TVs in the house and can be watched by multiple people at the same time. For sports and things you’ll more than likely need one of these services. You can also use an antenna for local channels but that is another conversation.

We don't currently have internet and I would have to sign up with a satellite provider. That in combination with various app subscriptions would put me close to what I'm paying now.

  6. I'm completely ignorant on cord cutting. I've always just said screw it and paid my ever increasing satellite bill. Well, now that my agreement is about to end, and having to watch spending more closely due to being unemployed for 2 FUCKING YEARS, it's time to get educated. We have a 75" Samsung Smart TV. Do you have to have internet with Fire Sticks or other similar devices etc?

  7. Well hell, I was hoping I would never post in this thread again but.......

Nearly 3 weeks ago I went out to turn on the pool pumps in the morning. Our pool sits on a small hill next to the house. Took about 2-3 steps down the hill and hit a still frosty patch of grass. My smooth soled boots slid out from under me and I threw out my right arm to break my fall. Big mistake. Wound up landing mostly on my right elbow. By the end of the day I knew I had more than "just a little soreness". My guess, rotator cuff...again. if so this will be the third time on that shoulder. That on top of very sore ribs and sternum.

    Now, are you happy, @Neonmoon?

Thanks to you, I've missed my Fleshlight sales quota for 4th quarter. Not only do I have to explain it on call with the regional sales director, (who's a 33 year old bastard who likes to age-shame me), I've still got to somehow move 55 units. Does anyone want to buy one? They make great gifts for your family and neighbors.

This hits home except that my MIL talks about the vacations she’s going to take like she’s capable. “I want to do a river cruise in Germany.” Other than, you can’t fit in a seat in airplane, walk or stand long enough to get on the ship, walk up stairs, walk around the villages, and the cost that you won’t ever spend your money for, yes, this would be great. This is the lady that once vetoed a trip to Telluride because “the hotel rooms will just reek of marijuana” and made us go to bumfuck Arkansas where she sat in the house and pouted because we wanted to go hike/fish/play golf and she couldn’t physically do those things.

Ķill the MIL, she's going to blow cash that could be yours someday.

Can A&M not afford to hire someone to dress/style Elko?  You're making a scheduled appearance/recruiting pitch on national TV and look like this? Ok.

Hell, a style expert isn't going to help him in the least. Try a nutritionist and trainer first. You can't get silk from a sow.
