  1. Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we get shithoused.
  2. I have a serious sadness. To say he marched to the beat of his own drum is the understatement of the year.
  3. Well, not really, but fuck him.
  4. The collateral damage caused by his crime(s) is immense, and should treated as such. A life sentence is reasonable.
  5. No shit. Thank god for good insurance. My sharting out-of-pockets are minimal.
  6. This is pretty remarkable. New wind powered land speed record achieved by Team Emirates 138.4mph. What blows me away is the lack of sail area and that is was only blowing 22 kts. https://www.latitude38.com/lectronic/emirates-team-new-zealand-sets-new-land-speed-record/
  7. Checking before year end. But there extenuating circumstances. Got my guts rearranged Monday during surgery. They’ve been pumping me with all manner of cocktails of drugs, including laxatives. My only food is a goo fed from a bag directly into my small intestine. Gas buildup is a common side effect. Well yesterday I gambled and lost. Poor nurses had to deal with me like I was a 3 month old baby. Better them than me I guess. I have a cute Asian nurse scheduled to give me a suppository, plus 10mg of Oxy before bedtime. I’ll make sure she gets it up there good.
  8. This goes for everyone- don’t overlook ANY unusual symptoms of anything. Get it checked out. The worst (or best) thing is that they find nothing. Great. But getting the jump early probably saved my life. Esophageal cancer has fairly poor outcomes mostly because it is detected too late. As soon as I started having difficulty swallowing food, and it didn’t clear up for a few weeks, I reached out to my GI and got an endoscopy. I was what they refer to as stage 3+, which means it had spread only to localized lymph nodes and not elsewhere. But it would have pretty shortly thereafter. And then it’s a totally different ballgame. So get checked out asap. It most certainly can be a matter of life and death. Day 6 in the hospital. A bit better each day. But it’s incremental. It’s clear this is going to be a long slow recovery. Oh and I should post in the short thread that I shit myself in bed trying to pass gas as I’m very bloated with my new plumbing design.
  9. Holy shit indeed https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cl8_x9wvxGr/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
  10. I’m lying in a hospital Bed recovering from cancer surgery. You may be on to something.
  11. Dude I had a whole host of Weeble Wobbles, and a Weeble Wobbles plane that was just a cross section so you were just pretending what life would be like as a Weeble Wobble on a plane. Being the 70’s, they were probably getting loaded and fucking in the head.
  12. That’s inspiring. The changes are the things I’ve dreaded, but certainly manageable relatively. It’ll be accepting that the things I’ve done for my entire life are now forever changed. But I have a path forward. Many here at City of Hope may not.
  13. You’ll need scans to really dial in where you are at on the spreading and staging. That’s the most important thing to drill down on. Mine was only about 20% chance of survival. That had sent me down some dark paths. Don’t go there. Think positively (easier said than done I know). Just got a liquid 10 mg oxy. oxy. Hope I don't end up blowing dudes on Santa Monica Blvd before I know it.
  14. I pressed the button 30 secs ago. I am make good work of it.
  15. Well, it is done. Lotta fucking pain. Meds are helping but only to a degree. Turns out the radiation had fried a section of my lung that he had to cut out. That’s the most painful spot. But it was bleeding so he thinks that could’ve contributed to the anemia. Too doped to keep typing.
