  1. He was in center for the playoffs once. Just didn’t finish there.
  2. Espada, you’ve lost another pitcher?
  3. I had a Mimi, not a meemaw, but damn could she cook some jelly - muscadine, faux strawberry fig, you name it. Thanks for the warm memories on a Friday morning - and please pass the biscuits.
  4. A Cheo chop for the lead!
  5. Would have the lead now.
  6. WTF you doing on second still, Bregs?
  7. There are a ton of fake Tesla YouTube channels that "Livestream" old Elon Musk clips. It's a scam:
  8. I’m sorry. The judges were looking for “I’d go over 12% for that.”
  9. If Alberto sets foot in Texas, Abbott will just bus it up to NYC.
  10. Move to rename the thread "2024 Rangers/Astros Thread Of SUCK"
  11. I said I was out until Abreu was gone, but fuck this shit.
  12. Brought to you by Little Caesar’s!
  13. It’s real and it’s spectacular.
  14. Trade to Baltimore ASAP.
  15. Love Carmel Valley, but have a good wildfire and flood evac plan.
  16. Loved living in HI, but two things I learned... Hawaii (even Oahu) has a very thin veneer of modern first world infrastructure. It doesn't take much to disrupt the power grid or the roads or the water system, etc. I could never raise a family there and subject kids to that public education system.
  17. You'll have it all... heat, jet noise, AND wildfires!
  18. Except those places get crowded as fuck and are a pain in the ass to get to. This is the nicest thing about living in CA, actually getting to enjoy outdoor living spaces. Except that EVERYONE is enjoying their outdoor living spaces. You get a bit of everyone's music, cooking smells, and whatever new strain they are trying out. As nice as it may sound, there is actually very little peace and no elbow room. Even this part of CA has its drawbacks. I lived on Monterey peninsula for five years. I really loved it there, but it's EXPENSIVE, gets a lot of tourist traffic, and with the fog/mist, overcast in the winter I struggled with low-grade SAD. Bottom line, there are positive and negatives wherever you go. Pick your poison. We left SoCal for Tulsa and now have more space and peace and disposable income, but I had to spend some of that income to put a storm shelter in the garage. Welk Resort
  19. Are we sure that Rush wasn't secretly suicidal?
  20. Bagwell: Everyone else:
  21. These last two games have been a master class in dick-stepping.
  22. We had multiple options available for how to prepare and consume the catch. Some folks liked sashimi, some wanted to build rolls, and still others liked to grill their fish.
  23. Yes. Learned that a lot of fish with bad reputation for taste are actually pretty good if you eat it very fresh. We ate barracuda raw as well. Pretty much every Saturday evening, we had the grill fired up and a batch of sushi rice ready for the day's catch. Probably got my lifetime quota of mercury in that 6 months, but I enjoyed it.
  24. Did a lot of hunting when I was stationed in GTMO. Always on the reef and no open water stuff like this. When the water was clear, the sharks stayed well away from us and never bothered us. One day, the waters were pretty murky, but we decided to head out anyway. Visibility was 10 ft, which in one way worked to our favor as we were able to get into range before the fish could see us. I shot my biggest fish ever - a 40 inch King Mackerel. On the way back to the boat, visibility dropped to less than five feet. About 100 yds from the boat, my buddy tapped his tank to get my attention and gave me the shark sign and motioned for me to get rid of my stringer. Fuck that, I wasn't giving up that mackerel! We got back to the boat and out of the water and my buddy was shaking. Said he saw a big reef shark make two runs at my mackerel before turning away at the last second. I never saw it, but I never went back out in limited visibility again. Anyway, we had some great sushi that night.
  25. If team dick-stepping average was an official stat, these guys would be setting league records. Maybe not weighted dick-stepping average, but for sure in raw dick-stepping numbers. They’ve improved their starting pitching DSIP (dick-stepping per innings pitched) since the first month of the season, but the bullpen DSIP is still up there. The BPDS (basepath dick-stepping) has always been a weakness, but is more apparent when the team also has high numbers in late-inning DPDS (double play dick-stepping), PODS (pop-up dick-stepping), and CSDS (clutch situation dick-stepping) . FEDS (fielding error dick-stepping) is also exceptionally high this year compared to the past. Weighted dick-stepping numbers are calculated by how often the dick is stepped multiplied by how big the dick is. Pressly’s PPPE (past performance penis enhancement) crossed with his extraordinary dick-stepping rate this season gives him the highest WDSA on the team. Yordan’s WDSA is up there just because, well, you know… Yordong. Bregs and Hader are also having career peaks in WDSA. Surprisingly, Jose Abreu’s WDSA is actually quite low, but that’s because this man has no dick.
