  1. Stuck with this view this weekend than over a feeder. Happy Wife=Happy Life but it's killing me missing opening weekend.
  2. Got damn...first it was the gas, now it's the beef.
  3. Anywhere from $150 to $225 per shooter.
  4. Nice rack(s)
  5. That was very rapey
  6. Any yutes get out today?
  7. Each store typically has a sign on which days they get stock in. If not, just ask the gun counter or customer service.
  8. Stopped by the Academy in Terrell this morning while out that way and was surprised with the amount of ammo in different calibers they had. I was looking for .243 but they didn't have any. They had a good amount of 30-06.
  9. You wouldn't think you would need to but make sure to anchor it down.
  10. Holy smokes. And looks like he is a young one too. Should be spectacular later.
  11. Brisket - You need more than 1 round? Wish I could help you out but I shoot a 25-06 and just picked up 2 more boxes of it last week at Academy. It was a good day at the ranch. Got the duck blinds brushed and feeders topped off. Food plots are doing good. Not as thick this year but we didn't get the usual October rains as we typically do.
  12. If someone does go the chainsaw route, please video.
  13. Do it, you won't be disappointed.
  14. With flat land they can be. Around elevations is where you find issues on distance.
  15. I've got the Cuddeback system with 3 cameras. 1 main camera that transmits all the pics and 2 remote cameras that sync with the main. I like their system because I can have a bunch of cameras spread across my land and only pay 1 monthly/yearly price. I've had them for 2 years and haven't had any major issues out if them.
  16. Caught in the act.
  17. Put me down for some thermals. Looks like the fat kids have shown up for the free buffet.
  18. With brisket being sold between $20-$30/lb, it's all serious now.
  19. But who has the best tortillas???
  20. And there ya go...... Not surprised by #1 The Top 50 Texas BBQ Joints: 2021 Edition – Texas Monthly
  21. This year's list probably isn't as prevalent as previous ones as there are many quality BBQ places to eat now. However, it will be interesting who he includes in the Top 10, especially the Top 5.
  22. I know there is a TX BBQ thread that has a little talk of the list coming out next week but figured it should have its own thread for 1. Who is going to be on the list that wasn't last time? 2. Who is not going to be on the list or has a huge drop? 3. Predictions on who will be #1. 4. Any other Surly opinions.... I think there is so much more competition since the last list came out. I know of several quality BBQ joints that opened up before the list came out but weren't "eligible". I think there is also enough great places that joints like Cooper's and City Market don't make it. Ones I think could possibly pop in there from the D/FW area are 407BBQ, Panther City, Goldee's and Smoke Sessions. Pecan Lodge will probably have the biggest fall. I haven't been to some places like Truth and others but I'm going with Hutchins BBQ in McKinney as #1.
  23. Oh fuck no. We wouldn't have even been competitive in the last 2 games.
  24. Well that sucked big donkey dicks
  25. That's not coaching
