  1. I bet you tore that all up with no regrats.
  2. Thanks for redeeming this thread.
  3. After being unclean griddle shamed, I decided to get out the sander yesterday to get it reseasoned. I only have a belt sander so the sides didn't get as cleaned as I want, but overall its smooth as a baby's butt now.
  4. I'm hearing that the 10% is only on home but not land. Can they go up any amount on land?
  5. I guess I'll get this year's "bend me over" thread started since I have absolutely no idea what the hell the Rockwall CAD is smoking, but it must be some good shit. Get a load of this shit. We put a pool in at the end of last year so I was expecting my value to automatically go up. Market Value - Structure/Buildings went from $283,490 to $331,200 = +$47,710 (15% increase) Market Value - Land went from $58,860 to $411,760= +$352,900 (700% increase) What the hell is that all about???? Total Market Value went from $342,350 to $742,960. Appraised Value - $342,350 to $705,004 (they show on the CAD site that there is a $37,956 Homestead Cap reduction from the Market Value of $742,960) Homestead Cap Value went from $293,840 to $365,644 = +$71,804 (20% increase) They have my taxes based off the $705,004 for everything except the ISD, where I get a $25,000 exemption amount. 1. Shouldn't I be paying taxes on my Homestead Cap Value? 2. I thought values couldn't go up more than 10% if you have a homestead?
  6. Bought the land 7.5 acres in 2005 and built house in 2006. 6 acres of it is in floodplain.

Anyone go today and get some free meat....other than your mom?
  9. Uncovered the plants mid morning and no damage. Not sure what the temp got down to but there was frost on the lawn.
  10. Possible frost tonight and I don't want to take any chances. Used leaves that I had for future mulching to cover up each plant. My garden has gotten too big to lay out covering, so hope this does the trick. It is only going to be in the lower 30's for a couple of hours, so I think I'll be fine.

  15. Excuse me sir, but the lawn and landscape post is 2 aisles over.
  16. These were some skinny beef ribs, but still turned out great.
  17. Duck and dove fajitas. Griddled onions and peppers with browned Mexican cauliflower rice.
  18. Duck and dove fajitas.
  19. Correct.
  20. To keep the deer out. You have deer around a garden, there is no "one third for varmits". It all gets eaten by the deer. Luckily I don't have that issue.
  21. Alright, who's going to make this?
  22. Decided to go with some fish, skrimp and fried rice 2 ways. Cauliflower and regular fried rice. Broccoli was done in the oven.
  23. Yep, I bet with this Sheltering in Place, the griddles have been getting used a lot more. I've cooked a few meals on it the past couple if weeks but didn't have phone out to snap pics but will do so next time.
  24. I do the same thing with 16 ft cattle panels to grow cucumbers and green beans.
  25. Probably 11-12 hr cook.
