  1. Whole lotta sweepin' goin' on in T1. Hopefully the butterflies are now gone and the arm is solid.
  2. Some of his best work
  3. That's a balk 8 days a week.
  4. Stanton left standin'. Sit down, Cyclops.
  5. So a RH Ashton Maloney. Although with a much lower BA and less power. On another front, this is the best I've seen Trent Grisham look since he danced with Michael in Beat It.
  6. With his mix of slight stature and horrible mechanics, I'm actually impressed any time Dubon hits a ball 200 feet.
  7. Never fails. Journeyman starter is all but unhittable, and then in comes a decent reliever who can't do anything right. Hope Abreu left his gas can at the hotel.
  8. Granny with her artificial hip could have made it to 3B before Trammell did. Not saying another guy definitely would have scored on that, or that he'd even have been waved in, but the guy wasn't running all out.
  9. Looks like opponents forgot to throw him high heaters. Works as well as a foot-outside slider to Diaz.
  10. Hmmm https://www.flotrack.org/articles/14453470-sam-hurley-announces-transfer-commitment-to-texas-tech
  11. I'm coming around to the idea that Caratini needs more ABs and Diaz fewer. And I say that having once thought Diaz was a pretty special hitting talent for a catcher.
  12. My expectations for this AB are not lofty. Prove me wrong, big fella.
  13. They try so hard to be the cool kids and the sports programs everyone envies, but then reality seems to get in the way. They know we don't take them seriously, making them extra happy to mistake other SEC schools' tolerance of them as genuine support. It's like thinking your untalented kid's piano performance was great just because some other parents overcame the cringe long enough to clap.
  14. I mean, is there even any need to play this game? Call it now and save our ungracious hosts some humiliation. But back to reality. I hope we can scratch out a W.
  15. That was a really solid win. Hopefully Seattle and Arlington (both currently trailing) each drop a game farther back tonight.
  16. Which, as we're all painfully aware, is far different from calling it a coin flip.
  17. I know he doesn't get run support, which means he has to be almost perfect. But seems every time I think he's going to finish off a masterpiece, the opposing team mounts a rally just like tonight's. As usual I'm following online, so maybe it seems very different watching.
  18. There's a fairly predictable point around this time of the game when Brown regularly goes from awesome to awful in a flash. Is that pitch sequencing, reduced movement/velo or what?
  19. "Get 'em on...get 'em over...get 'em out."
  20. Espada seemed far more interested in getting Spag some innings than in getting the team a W. Maybe he thinks all our games in Florida are spring training.
  21. You do like Smith and blister a grounder to 3B at 63 mph and you'd like to think you'll get rewarded. We're getting guys on, obviously. But if we don't start elevating more of these 100 mph drives, we'll continue to pressure our weaker bats to come through with men on. And this lineup still has too many holes to make that outcome something to rely on. Our Mensa manager leaving pitchers out there too long doesn't help, either.
  22. Feels like we're getting aced in pickleball.
  23. Playing back-to-back games with a tight hamstring is pushing your luck in these cold-weather cities.
  24. Spag working on a 2-hitter. Pretty, pretty good.
