  1. I wish we had a “crying” emoji for giving rep. I can’t help but think about how scared those little girls must have been. I hate that my mind goes there.
  2. I don’t know what to say. This is heartbreaking beyond measure. The loss of all innocent life is terrible but when kids die like this it’s crushing. I’m so sorry for those affected by this tragedy. I wish I didn’t know about this. Even as someone who is completely uninvolved I’m not tough enough to take this kind of stuff.

  4. Thanks but my daughter and his daughter didn’t really know each other well. She got her number from a friend and sent her a text and got a ❤️ response. I guess that’s how people do it these days.
  5. Sheeeit, that’s all you had to say. hook em
  6. Why would his mom be wearing a formal dress and corsage on his prom night, unless…… I assumed it was his date which would be a pretty impressive score for him. Maybe he’s like Meat Pimp. He’s just got next level game.
  7. Prom? He looks like he’s 14
  8. Wife just told me that one of the firefighters who died was the father of my daughter’s classmate. Terrible CDA is a pretty small community and reveres their first responders. Many cars bear “K27” stickers in honor of the one and only (afaik) LEO killed in the line of duty. His kids are being raised by their grandparents I believe and live 2 blocks away from us. https://www.cdaid.org/3469/departments/parks/k27forever
  9. lol, you guys really don’t like having your preconceived notions challenged.
  10. Yeah, not sure why you are being shitty. I’m just telling my experience as someone who lives there. If that doesn’t jive with what you’ve been told by a friend of a friend, then just accept it as an anecdote. Or don’t. I really don’t give a shit.
  11. I live in CDA…. Part time. My wife and kids live there full time. I live the other part of the time in the east bay due to work. CDA is awesome. Beautiful, clean, safe. Super nice people. Coming from the east bay, it’s at first a bit shocking how white it is. I’m Asian. I’m not saying there isn’t a presence of racism there but I’ve never seen it. Nothing close to it frankly. I see more racism in the Bay Area by a long shot. That probably has way more to do with congestion and socioeconomic forces than it does to “good people” vs “bad people.”
  12. After reading the headline I was 100% sure that Graham was losing his shit because Sark was ahead of Elko.
  13. T&P for the victim. https://nypost.com/2025/06/30/us-news/prep-school-teacher-accused-of-having-sex-with-student-charged/
  14. Interesting you mention that. There were several times during the movie that I wondered if they filmed it with decades old lenses because the aberration or distortion gave it a certain period correct look.
  15. I left thinking it was a pretty weird movie. I watched a YT review of the movie (after the fact) that explained some of the symbolism of the movie that he eluded me and I came to realize it was actually a deeper movie than I had given it credit for. There’s still shit that makes no sense to me.
  16. 50 shades of grey and the sequel. I’m sure Dakota Johnson heavily used body doubles but I refuse to allow myself to acknowledge that. Both of the Grownups movies and Paul Blart movies. Inarguably bad movies but enjoyable to watch with the kids.
  17. Johnny is an embarrassment as a human being and I’m glad he’s not ours and I get that he was surrounded by a very talented team but the dude could play and was fun to watch. I have zero ill will towards him and hope he gets his shit together and doesn’t die young. No shame in being a fan of Dat Nguyen. Great college player.
  18. Not super common but I’ve seen it a few times including recently (forgot the movie, but I know it was in one of the Terminator movies) - hiding keys on the sunvisor.
  19. Maybe not severe football injuries but otherwise a good list.
  20. For nearly 35 years you thought that in a hit song about his fictional father being in prison for murdering his wife for cheating, Garth Brooks threw in a random line about his father not knowing how to drive a manual transmission?! The epiphany must have been like when I realized it was “revved up like a deuce.”
  21. It’s amazing to think of the hurdles they overcame and all the ways it could have fallen apart. It takes so much to get to OKC and especially to a championship series and if you fail, you’re never guaranteed to have that opportunity again. I think about what if Lendale White converts 4th and 1 or any of the other plays that could have ended the National Championship game with USC hoisting the trophy. Your legacy is completely different when you win it. They can never take it away from you. Second place is mostly forgotten except for the die hard fans. Thank you for a thrilling ride and adding significantly to the legacy of Texas sports. It was a pleasure to have watched it.
