  1. Good day for Whitt. 86 yards receiving on 3 catching including a 50 yarder and 80 yards of return yardage on 2 kick off returns. Also 12 yards rushing.
  2. Working on a big game. 170 yards rushing and 2 tuddies heading into OT
  3. Don’t you just put the shrimp in at the end to prevent overcooking
  4. Someone posted an analysis last day or two that showed the very high profile teams actually don’t get favoritism, they get fucked by the refs. So yeah, “Texas pays refs and gets blatant homecooking every game” is just loser talk by pussies trying to justify their relative lack of success.
  5. “Let’s replay, review, dissect and analyze ad nauseam only the plays went against 1 team.” Fuck off. If you want to play that game, you can probably find at least 3 plays where if any had been called correctly for Texas, Quinn is kneeling on the ball in victory formation to end the game and 4th and 13 never happens.
  6. https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/43262455/texas-sugar-bowl-loss-cfp-semifinals Nice little article about Quinn
  7. It’s times like this that I wish they had redshirted him. We’d have him for another year.
  8. Where can I purchase a milk carton of “vegetable?” Seems convenient.
  9. (Sorry meant to edit my first post but was too slow) Correct. Didn’t launch, didn’t crouch, didn’t lower his head. The fourth part? They touched helmets in the act of making a tackle. He didn’t “attack with forcible contact” to the receivers head. Thats the part that the people who think it was targeting didn’t read. He tackled high because I think his intention was to try to break up the pass initially but knew he was late and just had to tackle. He’s wrapped him up. He didn’t try to blow him up and that’s why I think he appropriately got benefit of the doubt.
  10. Correct. Didn’t launch, didn’t crouch, didn’t lower his head.
  11. That scenario, not 4th and 13, but 3rd and medium or 3rd and long at that part of the field, long FG range….in the past the blitz comes, protection doesn’t hold up and Quinn takes a sack that moves you out of FG range. When I saw the defense creeping up I thought, we’re fucked. That was amazing. We’ve been on the other side of that. (Fuck you Joe Burrows.) To have converted that 4th down, it’s still hard to believe.
  12. Yup. At least they had Moss for part of the season. Our injuries happened in fall camp and we went the whole season nursing basically a 2 man RB room, with one guy having fumblitis. They don’t think that affects how to execute offense?
  13. So you’re saying it’s Manning time?
  14. Saban VRBO is pretty darn good. “check in is 3 pm”
  15. They didn’t bring out the chains so not sure what the review crew uses other than the views we also saw.
  16. Taaffe kept his head up, the head contact wasn’t violent at all, he didn’t launch and Taaffe wrapped him up and brought him to the ground. The intent was clearly “tackle” not jar the ball loose and that’s why I think the no call was the right call. Contrast that to the Bond no call where “knock him the fuck out” was the clear intent and Bond’s head jerked back violently. If you wanna make a case that Taaffe should have been penalized, be prepared to explain the no call for Bond (this is meant in general, not necessarily for anyone here). The media picks and chooses the Taaffe tackle because they are playing devil’s advocate in favor of the team that lost.
  17. Because 5.5 per day isn’t worth starting a thread. 😛
  18. Yeah but so many more than that. One that stands out was the 4th and 2 conversion where he threw it to the left sideline. A terrible, low probability play but he made a money throw and WR went up and got it.
  19. I was very apprehensive about OT because I figured a team that could consistently grind out first downs running the ball had a big advantage. That quick TD was a relief. I didn’t think this would ever be one of those 7 OT games. Neither team wanted to rely on their kicker and these offenses both showed they can be stopped. It wasnt a “no defense” game where you’re just gonna stand toe to toe and trade easy TDs.
