  1. It was a 15 year old Hitachi that was still kicking. Bought a Bosch 1617EVSPK, all the guys at Rockler personally used it too and liked it a lot. I'm really impressed with the smoothness and quietness of it It was the one in my router table actually, the one in the XCarve is a Makita that seems to be pretty solid so far. On another note: Anyone have a recommendation on good hole saws? The Milwaukee ones I've been using forever are fine, but I'd like something a bit tougher
  2. Only negative (I guess you'd call it that) was my router in my router table died. Had to go buy a new one. The new one is much smoother and half the volume of the old one.

No CR, but it's horseshit when presidents do this shit close to the election. Should have done this day 1 in office. I guess better late than never
  4. It's the logo of my wife's salon. She has a pop up shop she always does and the women are always looking for gifts for their husbands. Thought that could be representative to sell some of them. I got the Odie's oil on all of them. Turned out great if I do say so myself.
  5. Running an extra electrical outlet really isn't very difficult. That's an expensive one off to get an electrician out for. Ten minutes of youtube videos should be enough especially if their is an outlet on the other side of one of your walls
  6. Here they are in progress. I'm about halfway done finishing them. Just using some Odie's Oil, I've heard nothing but good things about it. I'll take a pic once I'm done finishing them. Lot of Aggies I know, but Texas is basically impossible to get into. All but one of those kids would have chosen Texas if they didn't get CAP'd I had some red oak for a few, bought some maple and ran through it, then went with Ash. Ash seemed to work very well though it's a bit fibrous like the oak.
  7. I'm still at a loss why Dubon isn't our first baseman. I wonder if he just doesn't feel comfortable there?
  8. I bought an X-carve, or really traded for it, 3 months or so ago and it's just been sitting there. I finally had an idea for it. My oldest son is graduating high school. For all of his close friends I'm carving the college logo they are going to and some lines for traction plus their initials. Outside of a bunch and starts and stops on getting good images for the design it's gone very well. I'll put some pics up once I'm done, or get some time before then.
  9. Unless the players come out and say "we hate Espada he's the reason we're losing" There is a literal zero chance he gets fired outside of gross insubordination. Managers mean almost dick in baseball as long as they are doing the obvious things. They can mean something if they are intuitive in the 50/50 situations. But come on, Espada is doing pretty much what everyone wanted Dusty to do except the Meyers/Dubon issues. Alvarez in the 2 hole (I think he fits the team better at 3 but it's mathematically the right move) - Check He has zero choice but to play Abreu with that contract and every other manager in baseball would be in the same position. But he isn't smashing in the top 5 all season - Check He's getting guys spots. when they need it but not really overplaying anyone that shouldn't play (outside of Abreu where he has no choice) - Check What legitimately in his power do you want him to do? Abreu is about to get benched. They've been trying all kinds of guys at first. We just don't have a backup there. Dubon likely ends up being the guy and that would make the Astros a pretty formidable offense and defense if he plays well there which I think he would. Our pitching woes are brutal. Brent Strom is a golden god
  10. I actually tried to look and see about that. Like was I missing someone. But didn't find anyone that made sense. But you are probably right about Chinese or Indian Star. Sheer number of people knowing their fame would dwarf the US. The global aspect of US celebrities is big though. So a lot of those people also know Beyonce. When I was in India last and people found out I was from Houston I got all kinds of Beyonce questions. And that was a good while ago
  11. It's probably Taylor then Beyonce. All of those are solid entries but fall down a bit save for Taylor and Adele. But Beyonce does have more Instagram followers, I'd say her music hits more age ranges and demographics, while Taylor's hits her demographic with a wrecking ball.
  12. I've always believed you should get the 3-0 greenlight for a specific pitch. Lay off if it's not that exact one in that exact location. Blast it if it is
  13. Yeah, full panel off works as well. Honestly didn't read the entire thread just skimmed. I can see it's paneling, but figured there was a reason you couldn't take it off, otherwise seems really simple to just pull them off and go. Still would cap it that way to make it work well
  14. Cut the wall, install boards horizontally in btw the vertical studs, nail the side back over. A circular saw pull up with a shallow cut is probably the best option I wouldn't do any other way, but I would bitch about it the entire time I was doing it. It's just the best way and eliminates any issues. Personally I'd install a partial 2X4 vertically, then cap it with the horizontal so you have plenty of support. Costs 10 in wood to do it right.
