  1. Yeah not awesome or anything but I like to look at process and development more than outcomes like wins and losses in thinking about evaluating the staff this early in their regime. For years, we have suffered from a lack of development on the OL and have identified it as one of the key things holding this program back. Here's hoping OL recruits see it too. The record this season has been terrible and incredibly frustrating. However, I do think the OL going from "flat out embarrassing" to "somewhat competent" does actually represent tangible progress.
  2. for those rooting for an empty stadium for national tv next week, just curious why? Baylor was 2-7 last year. Should they have been rooting for an empty stadium for their last game? I get being frustrated and pissed off but how does it help the program?
  3. This losing streak has sucked. Just trying to acknowledge actual growth and development in a key area despite how horrible the season is going.
  4. I would say a distinct lack of support can highlight it though. Aggie gave Jimbo a long term guaranteed contract before he won a game to signal stability and consistency to stay the course no matter what. What we signal is important.
  5. Yeah, good production without a generational RB talent skewing the results is a good sign of development.
  6. Even if you are sure Sark is not the guy, he will recruit this next class and run the offseason and next season. We need recruits and good buy-in in the offseason to build for the future even if Sark is not the guy. Just saying to recognize where we are in the process with this coach. There will be a time for accountability. Year 1 is not going to be it.
  7. I"m going to try and go. Sark is going to be our coach for the next year or two no matter what. In year 1 of a regime, there is no good message to send except stability and consistency of support IMO.
  8. I felt like the OL did okay today. Pocket was reasonably clean and there was some good production in the running game. I feel like this unit made progress this year despite the injuries.
  9. Also I would add that I think the OL has improved through the season despite injuries. The pocket was not terrible for the QBs today. And there were holes for the RBs today too. I think Kyle Flood did some work this year.
  10. We are top 20 in most offensive stats without a serviceable QB or OL and basically one frosh WR. I like the performance given that is what they are working with. The defensive staff has more to work with and is achieving way less.
  11. Yeah this is where I'm at. I want stability too. I see green shoots on offense here and there. And the guys Sark brought in on offense (Worthy and Keilan) are real contributors. The defense is too terrible for words. As much as I favor stability, I would nuke it from orbit to be sure.
  12. This game is so winnable. I just have no words for how I feel about this defense.
  13. if there is one thing I am reasonably sure of is that Sark has a pretty QB friendly offense that lots of different guys have flourished in. This performance either speaks to talent or want to IMO.
  14. A small bit of positivity that the WV Def Coordinator thinks we are the best "schematic" offense he plays in the Big 12. A nice compliment to this staff.
  15. Texas FIGHT!!! I know this season is disappointing but let's show up and play hard. Play to a standard! Hook'em!
  16. Win or Lose let's show some goddamn Fight!! Hook'em.
  17. I agree it's a red flag but not sure I'd call it "huge." The defensive staff is a problem he needs to own and fix to be successful. Whether that could be done mid season is a harder call. Multiple things can be true at the same time IMO. The loss to Kansas was terrible. The win/loss record is disastrously bad. The defensive staff has done a poor job. AND . . . the best course of action for UT fans, given we are in Year 1 of a coaching change, is to be patient, stay the course, support recruiting and hope for improvement in the off season. I cannot see how repeatedly proclaiming doom for this staff helps us move forward successfully given where we are in the process of this staff. Regardless if Sark is the guy, we need a good recruiting class this year, a good offseason, and another good recruiting class next year. All of our efforts should be focused on what supports that happening.
  18. I'm not saying everything is okay. I was at the loss to Kansas. It sucked big time. I'm arguing for realization and acceptance of where we are in the process of making a bet. We are in Year 1 of a coaching change. Barring actual misconduct, Sark and this staff are going to recruit this next class. A class we will then live with for the next four years. This is the time to polish the turds we have been dealt like we have never polished before to see what we can do to maximize this class.
  19. Agree that we lost to Kansas. Also can we agree Sark is going to be here another year and recruit a class that needs our support? Can we also agree that some players are playing hard that need our support? If we agree then are internet temper tantrums the rational course of action for the next year? Not loving where we are but what else is a way forward?
  20. Personally, I think it's a better course of action than throwing internet temper tantrums. But I was not expecting a receptive audience so . . . Come at me bros ?!???!??
