  1. Feels like Espada is just pulling names out of a hat now
  2. The wind definitely fooled me on Henseler’s shot with the bases loaded in the 4th. My seats were up the first base line a bit so had a pretty good look down the LF field line and just hung my head when the ball left his bat. Couldn’t believe it when my buddy said “it’s foul”. And also couldn’t believe it when Duplantier followed up that pitch with another breaking ball over the heart of the plate.
  3. A handful this weekend felt like that. crowd just completely fooled by the ball. I’m usually a pretty good judge but the (non) reaction by the crowd caused me to second guess myself and stay quiet until I saw the LFer stop and look at the wall. To be fair, the launch angle was 46 degrees. For comparison, there have been no MLB HRs this year at that angle or greater (out of 2,609 batted balls). last year there were a total of 7 HRs with a launch angle of 46 or more (out of 15,625). baseball gods really must hate aggy.
  4. 10 years and 127 regular season starts as a starter is pretty hard to do
  5. …when half of it is on the IL
  6. UNC went 2-1 against Pitt this weekend. everyone else in the top 10 (besides us) was 2-2 or worse.
  7. Apparently people actually go and eat bbq there.
  8. It’s called “regionals.” It’s how college baseball postseason has worked for decades.
  9. Rangers lost on a walkoff (little league) homer
  10. Sorry. injury last weekend. confirmed out for season this weekend
  11. Very aggy. We already lost one guy for the season this weekend
  12. There is an idiot across the street waving a broom behind left center
  13. It’s April. Not worth it
  14. As they showed on the broadcast, he’s the best pitcher in the majors since the end of April last year (his April 2024 was horrendously bad though now that I think about it)
  15. The stranglehold of stats on baseball is weird. We shift with 2 strikes leaving an entire half of the field open and he still decides to swing away instead of trying to flick a ball to the left side and score the go ahead run
