  1. No. Ford didn’t ask about corresponding moves and Dana didn’t offer
  2. Dana: Hader: have him for 3 more years, have to be careful with this one, particularly when it's the shoulder. allow him to rehab and see what that looks like. 3 weeks seems like an eternity this time of year but hopefully we can get him back, do something down the stretch or in the postseason Abreu: main thing is leverage opportunities. sometimes the 8th, sometimes the 9th. most of the time it's the 9th. very difficult to get last 3 outs. feel very comfortable with him. has closer stuff Sousa: live and die with the slider. yesterday, got one in the middle of the plate and got the best of him. been good since he's been up. has that look in his eyes "I'm not going back to the minors". needs to mix in a fastball a little more often to set up the slider. Yordan: Yee haw...we got him going. go Tuesday, give him a day off, then go back-to-back to see how he reacts to that. Seeing him go on this rehab is a good thing, means he's not feeling any pain. He's in a good mood. Re: position: focused on him hitting. not too worried about field right. need his bat. goal is to get him back as soon as possible. May see him the back end of the road trip. confident for the next home series. but need to see how he reacts and feels. LMJ: having discussions about next steps with him now. and Garcia. and France. going through it daily with the front office and coaching staff to see who should come back first. Lance may be first, but still talking through it. At some point, will see all 3 back. Garcia: will get another minor league start at least. LMJ has been pitching a good part of the season. just about figured it out, but still having conversations. probably LMJ, then Garcia, and the France. Not fully decided, but would make the logical sense.
  3. Players weekend fail not having someone nicknamed “Dirty” and having him batting 3rd today
  4. When that happens they’ll change the rule. Until then, good luck. the players union doesn’t want it to go back. The owners don’t care (concessions have been shut down). There just isn’t anyone that wants it except fans like us that pine for the days when a team would play 22 innings one night and come back for a day game that goes 13 innings the next https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HOU/HOU198906030.shtml https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/HOU/HOU198906040.shtml
  5. Hard to beat Target Field and Comerica in mid to late August
  6. I can neither confirm nor deny that #13 was warming up to come in for the 13th had Urias not walked it off
  7. JV with his best start of the year 7.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 BBs, 8 Ks, 88 pitches
  8. Did this get discussed on TV, because Ford/Sparks didn’t mention it. needs more attention as it’s never happened before in MLB history.
  9. Shitty defensive inning for Holliday
  10. But dammit. i wanted to see the pitcher up for the lulz/f Espada
  11. Urias to end this or we get the 13th with a pitcher on deck
  12. I too had the “where is LMJ’s bat when you need it” thought
  13. Some stupid rule that says if it would otherwise be a pitcher in the spot of the last batter of the previous inning, you can go to the previous batter (Urias)
  14. De los Santos (or another pitcher) due up 5th in the bottom of the inning. if they get 2 outs at any point without the run scoring, look for IBBs to load them up to get to the pitcher
  15. A pitcher wasn’t running the bases
  16. No actually it might be! happened in the minors in 2018, but don’t think it’s happened in the majors
  17. Our bullpen isn’t holding this to the 13th when that would become a problem
  18. Holy non-Astros TOOTBLAN!
  19. They did just camp on that Correa walkoff 10 years ago
  20. These pinch hitters are sure no Bill Spiers. Or even Victor Caratini
  21. Or just keeping being Altuve
  22. Alexander is that 2 run homer away from having a 20 inning scoreless streak
