liz orchestrated that blindside. since tevin orchestrated the soda blindside and got voted out right after, makes you wonder if liz is going next week.
Liz believed that the Soda blindside was her idea, and was sick of Tevin patting himself on the back for it. She could have targeted Venus for the same reason, but likely thought that Tevin was the bigger threat, or was more annoying.
I was hoping that someone would turn on Q before the tribal bullshit. I don't know what to make of things now. I think Maria and Charlie have the game to drive things. Liz has the desire to play, but she needs to be smarter about her targets. Playing on emotion usually doesn't end well. I love Hunter, but unless he suddenly decides to participate in the "outwit" part of the game, he has no chance to win. I still feel like Kenzie is biding her time, but she needs to start having an impact soon. Tiff missed a real opportunity to do something when she found out Q was targeting her. Q is a total wild card right now.

The big concert that summer was ZZ Top’s World Wide Texas Tour. We went on the 4th of July in the Liberty Bowl in Memphis. Outlaws, Blue Oyster Cult, Lynyrd Skynyrd. ZZ Top.
Was it the top priority of the summer? You need to get your priorities straight.

Pulling for Hunter. Reminds me of Colby in challenges.
Funny you mention that. I just started rewatching Season 2. I still have no idea how Tina won. That was probably the most disappointing final tribal for me of all time.

How about age 9, '74, Billy fucking Martin, manager, Toby Harrah, Jim Sundberg, Mike Hargrove, first winning season in Texas. Dr. Pepper sponsored kids "season tickets" I think we got 8 games in the bleachers for almost nothing. My dad (lifelong Reds fan) took off work so we could go to all of them, plus a couple more if I remember.
So that's 50 years. Anyone else?
Age 7, '72. Toby Harrah still counts, but Lenny Randle was my favorite.

the home court advantage that comes with the 4 would be huge
I'd rather have it than not, but I don't agree that it would be huge. The Mavs have the same home and road record, and the Clips essentially do as well. I don't really see home court being a factor in this matchup.
-
We've clinched no worse than the 5-seed, as well as the meaningless division. The only reason to keep trying to win is to try to get homecourt from the Clips, but we essentially have the same home and away records as them, so I don't see that as much of a gain. Time to rest in my opinion....except Hardaway. Play him 40 minutes the rest of the way.

We are out of the play in. We are not out of a possible matchup with Denver in the first round. We either need to lock in the 5-seed, or Denver needs to clinch 2 or higher. Once either of those happens, then rest rest rest.

I don't know which was the more cringing watch, the firefighters trying to work out perhaps the easiest task in TAR history, or the statue challenge where multiple racers had no idea how to orient themselves to a map. Barring taxi voodoo, the gay couple should win every leg. There is no other team in their league.
On the plus side, I still have that groovy break dancing beat in my head.

I'm pulling for Hunter, Charlie, and Maria, but I expect that to change as things progress, ether due to them getting eliminated or doing something that I don't like. Kenzie could easily move up, but she needs to start playing. Tiffany could also move up, but she needs to separate from Q.

I'm a little glad that I can no longer ride.
Not really, but this is getting ridiculous.
Someone better put Pog in bubble wrap.

I'm mostly just being an ass because that's what we do here. If you want to discuss the state of the baseball program in a thread discussing whether we should fire the men's basketball coach, go for it. It's not as though you will make this thread any worse.

The topic is whether to fire RT. I’m saying there’s a bigger fish to gut before RT.
I'm saying there's a place where gutting that bigger fish is already being discussed.
It's not an either/or situation. The University of Texas is perfectly capable of considering multiple coaching changes at one time.

Honestly, I’m more distressed with what’s happening in baseball.
Basketball is little more than a filler between football and baseball seasons. Where is the evidence that we’ve ever been or ever will be a serious national championship contender? A deep tournament run once a decade is about all we can hope for and that doesn’t meet the criteria, IMO.
We have the chops of a baseball blue blood. Correcting that buffoonery should be a much higher priority.
Yeah. Someone should start a baseball board with a thread to discuss that.

He has too for the time being, along with Matty J.
Jorgensen out of PR this weekend btw, not sure why. It seems like illness.
I saw Matty was a PR scratch with only a reference to him not being 100% fit. I wonder if Visma are just being extra cautious? I wouldn't blame them, under the circumstances.

Does Sepp become the GC leader for Visma?

Weird episode. I have no idea why Mo was the target there. She was a threat because she was a Survivor fan and especially of Aubrey? Okay. I thought Yanu missed an opportunity to target a bigger fish by playing Siga and Nami against each other, but I guess the potential of the +1 kept Q from doing anything big. I'll be interested to see if the +1 alliance actually goes anywhere.

That effectively kills any chance of a TdF threepeat. Strange year so far.

This team actually has been good at taking care of teams that are below .500. I suspect they'll bounce back against ATL and then get another shot at the Warriors who will also be on a B2B.
As always, I hope for the best while emotionally preparing for the worst.

Context matters. Everyone with any functioning brain cells understands why Terry was hired, and why it was the right thing to do. We all want the best coach possible for all of our programs, but sometimes shit happens that has to be taken into consideration. If you are looking to blame someone for the Terry hire, he lives in Mississippi, and his name rhymes with Chris Beard.

You may be right. I suspect the same will be true with another loss.

It's obvious that we are supposed to be pulling for Team Momma's Boy, but I just can't do it. I'm hoping that they go soon. I'm glad that the pilots have upped their game. Maybe a couple of other teams will do the same and make a race out of it. Navigation seems to the biggest weakness for most of the teams.
