  1. Crenshaw took a leadership role at the Champions Dinner this year and seems like the natural replacement.
  2. The player who fouled her was also out of control the entire game.
  3. He's kicking your ass up and down the thread.
  4. High level sports are also to blame. College showcases and elite tournaments now generally start play on Friday which requires travel on Thursday. There are usually at least 5 of these type of events a school year for the top athletes who want to play in college.
  5. Reese also hacked the shit out of some Iowa player in the first half on a block that they didn't call so it went both ways.
  6. The game was basically over but definitely a weak call for the 5th. They also missed a far more obvious foul on LSU before the clip begins. Game was relatively well officiated though given the standard in college basketball.

    USMNT 2024

The US clowned Mexico all over the field. The gulf in athleticism, speed, strength and even skill was almost unfair. Mexico is now closer to the rest of the CONCACAF pack than they are to the US and the gap should grow as the US talent identification and development system continues to improve. It's basically a poor aggy situation at this point. There is no reason why Mexico should be better than the US and for the vast majority of the time going forward, they won't be.

Add that to the list of legendary goals In this rivalry
  9. Another awful thread. Well done
  10. Is there a Golden Raspberry equivalent for horrible sports writing? This is the winner for worst lede of 2024.
  11. It really depends on conditions on the day but I love when 15 plays a pivotal role (Seve 86, Sergio 17, Molinari 19).

Miles should be behind Trusty and Brooks as well. I realize Brooks is never getting called up.

    USMNT 2024

Got the roster right with the possible exception of Miles Robinson.
  14. Most people are complete pussies. It's one hour
  15. Unfortunately, she was arguably our best player against Colombia, which was missing 3 of its 5 best players. Morgan was also only added to the roster after a youngster tore her ACL in training.
  16. We're going to focus on signing the best athletes who will come here.
  17. Sounds like Florida State's likely departure from the ACC has led the SEC/Big10 to decide to pick over the ACC's bones, leave the NCAA and create NFL College. This seemed inevitable following the dissolution of the PAC but it is all happening much faster than expected. The Big 12 will now be the preeminent football conference in the NCAA!
  18. Are we sure this isn't the Rolling Stone list?
  19. 2024 Iowa State Home Football Schedule Saturday, Aug. 31: North Dakota Saturday, Sept. 21: Arkansas State Saturday, Oct. 5: Baylor Saturday, Oct. 19: UCF Saturday, Nov. 2: Texas Tech Saturday, Nov. 16: Cincinnati Saturday, Nov. 30: Kansas State Wow. This is Conference USA level. Even worse is that ISU has to play at Arkansas State in 2025.
  20. Tech isn’t adjusting well to Baylor now being their Super Bowl
  21. Sharpen the needle
  22. The USWNT has become soft and extremely entitled. Basically the opposite of what they once were. Emma Hayes needs to come in and wreck shit. The olds need to be permanently dropped. The remaining players need to be told to go to Europe or forget about playing for the NT. They also need to be told that your place on the roster is under constant review and threat. The last WC cycle where Vlatko let the inmates run the asylum did major damage to the program that will probably take at least another cycle to remedy. Fortunately, there is more than enough talent to get things back on track but only if Hayes is allowed to implement her system/structure without interference from the ussf administrators.
