2014, my MAGA sister in law thought it would be a good idea to give my brother and his three brothers tickets to see Ted in our hometown for his birthday present. Turns out not one of us was interested in seeing Ted. We were bored to tears, but we didn’t express our true opinion until after the concert. And yes, Ted had to share a political opinion or two.
Of course you were bored. Nugent is a mediocre guitarist, a shitty musician generally, and a fucking moron. His output is the archetype of puerile, forgettable 70s and 80s hard rock lampooned by Spinal Tap. It’s pure disposable crap, a regrettable skid mark on the undergarments of rock history.

It’s really disorienting to read a thread in which Anastasis advocates a firm position while Brisketexan espouses uninformed both-sideserism.

We're fucking screwed if we think we can roll out Taylor Swift while they get the youth vote with Ted Nuggent.
“I have some good news and some bad news, fellow patriots! The good news is that, according to an expose I just read, teenage girls fucking love Ted Nugent! The bad news is that I’m dyslexic.”

What was depicted in the book was these evil bastards (from our perspective) were terrorizing whites and natives alike.
I mean, kinda. I felt that the book was more objective. It presented the Comanches as human beings living in a culture that, albeit alien and hostile to Anglos, had its own internal logic and was understandable given its roots and context. Comanches lived like pretty much any plains tribe had been for centuries (millennia?). They were just doing it more effectively than their competitors.

Fuck these officials and this bullshit.
It’s unreal how much the refs have fucked Liverpool this season. Two pens and a red card should have been awarded today. The announcers were in disbelief about each noncall. It’s just robbery at this point. Fortunately it didn’t matter for anything other than GD today.

Or letting corn rot then drinking it
That one’s easy. They ate fermented fruit by accident, and got buzzed. Birds do that shit all the time.

I don't know shit about shit, but feel like the voucher thing could be the final straw that swings the state blue.
Spare me the "It's about time" sermons. This is just pure bullshit though. If we as a society decide to just leave them behind, then why fund any of it? We (some) don't care about the betterment of our youth any more. We(some) are just here to get ours... and "Fuck those brown people."
It makes me ragey.
Oh no. Some Antifa globalists hacked slorch’s account and are posting woke talking points!

I'm generally an EV supporter, but this is definitely an issue. In cold climates, see the battery problems above. Also, see the drain on the battery from running the heater, which you will want to do when it's super cold outside. And in hot climates, running the car's AC is a big drain on power. We have family members with an EV in Tucson. While it has a purported range of something like 200 miles, for 8 months of the year (when they need to run the AC in the brutal heat), it's more like 90 miles on a full charge. Fine for a daily commuter, which is what they use it for. But not viable for a long drive. Not even viable for a day trip to Phoenix, really.
A friend has been raving about his plug-in hybrid. It sounds like those combine the best of both worlds. For the most part, it’s an EV for reasonable trips around town (something like 20-30 mile range on battery, and it charges up fairly quickly). But it has 500+ miles range when you combine the battery and gas engine, which is amazing for road tripping.

Anecdotally, I heard similar stories after Snowvid 2021 regarding the Tesla Powerwall. That shit didn’t hold a charge in the cold.

We need you to not drink coffee or eat breakfast so businesses can use massive amounts of energy to warm and illuminate empty buildings some dickheads can run a never-ending massively parallel number-guessing game on hundreds of computers, hoping for a chance to win a magic internet bean.
Also, eat a dick.

There’s something about making too much money in a trite career that requires no education or intellectual curiosity that transforms all these C-list celebs into fascist douchenozzles.

I don't think it ever got cold enough inside my house that I was concerned about a full water heater freezing. Were you concerned about that? I guess if the power is out long enough then anything is possible.
A lot of flooding during the 2021 storm was due to water heaters cracking. It was substantially below freezing for, what, four days straight? A water heater in an attic or garage could definitely freeze up during that time.

If we lose power I'll shut off water with the main key at the road and try to drain everything out of the pipes in my house. That worked for me during the last shit show.
That’s what I did for the first big freeze when we lost power for a week a few years ago. We successfully avoided the plague of burst pipes in our neighborhood. Just remember to drain your water heater, too.
