  1. If we are extrapolating the last few years of performance and applying it to results in the next few weeks, what does that mean for the aggies? “Past performance is not indicative of future results”
  2. Now do all of the violent crimes that aren't just murder.
  3. I wonder if the passengers were informed or allowed to vote on the idea of landing in a fucking hurricane?
  4. Tangerines was a joke. It hasn’t even been in existence for more than a decade.
  5. Big bowl of individually wrapped ecstasy on the counter when you walked in before Texas made it an illegal drug. And LOTS of cocaine being enjoyed.
  6. Shooter killed two in the Arboretum. Another injured and bomb squad on scene. Avoid the area. Shooter in custody. Looks to be near Barnes and Noble. Tangerines has always been a shady spot.
  7. Wild Tangent ahead: The lady and I love thai food and try anything and everything new. The other night we were driving down Burnet and saw a new place by the HEB, so we went back the next night for dinner. As I sat eating my delicious Panang curry, I kept thinking "I've been here before". Then it dawned on me that this was the place where we used to Raise the Flag, Raise the Flag back in the 80's! The food was delicious. /threadjack
  8. More homeless, apparently. If you want to get to 6000, they'll need another couple hundred million $.
  9. The craziest thing about Priggy's plane crash is that there were 9 other people stupid enough to get into an airplane with him.
  10. I wonder if this could have been negotiated between China and Putin in exchange for the drones and other equipment China is "sharing" with Russia?
  11. So they say they can't fix the pools because of costs but they can pay artists to decorate them? "Hey kids, we can go to the pool and look at the artwork but not swim!" Jesus Fucksticks.
  12. It doesn't matter because as soon as it drops below that temperature, the whining about the cold starts.
  13. Is the actual code written to explicitly cover rentals or does it jus say "all residences have to have AC"? edit: "The City Council initiates amendments to Title 25 (Land Development) to 45 require a residential property owner to provide and maintain refrigerated equipment 46 that is capable of maintaining each habitable room with a temperature that is 47 comfortable and less than the outside temperatures, such as the Delta T standard. 48 When proposing the amendments necessary to implement this requirement, the City 49 Manager is directed to consider stakeholder feedback and industry practices and 50 requirements. "
  14. This is the exact first thing I thought of. Poor people getting removed from their homes because they can't afford to bring it up to whatever new codes were enacted is a real thing.
  15. There was less concrete around Mabry back in those days.
  16. Since 2011 is our closest comparator, here is the months of September and October of 2011 at Mabry.
  17. What do those colors on the radar to the northwest mean?
  18. Mostly sunny and a 100% chance of you eating a dick.
  19. They don’t help players from opposing schools. You’d be waiting for ATCEMS like a peasant.
  20. For point of reference, in 2011 the last 100 degree day didn’t come until September 29th.
  21. Ummm...most of her district fucked her, so I think you may be overestimating that part.
  22. Do they talk about anything else on that site besides the Longhorns?
  23. You see, this is where you lose a lot of people with your argument. There are a lot of people that don't mind change, and don't mind spending money to be great. The problem those people have isn't with change in and of itself, it is the idea of trying to be great and spend that money when there are glaring fucking holes in the current city. But you just choose to ignore that and focus on your same old, tired Todd and Bob jokes. Having a world class library is great. But spending that much money on a library at a time when there are massive homeless problems, massive infrastructure problems, massive labor contract problems and even more massive problems in public safety response, is flat out ridiculous That would be akin to spending extra money on your credit card to buy some new jewelry and wonder why your kids are still hungry and you live in a shithole. You just want to associate people that don't want to spend money freely on frivolous shit as people that are "opposed to change".
