China was always gonna win; Russia has no other real geographical choice than to put their teeny 'nads into China's hands.
Europe found a reasonable alternative to Russian oil & gas , which is huge. Europe is by far the chosen market for Russian O&G, due to geography, simply supply and demand.
That connectivity has been temporarily benched the past 2+ years, but simple economics dictates that it will, and must work. The location of 1 of the 3 worlds largest energy producers proximate to a large population and demand center has to happen. Too much money involved. North America and the Middle East have resources, but no people or demand within their shadows. Russian and Europe is different.
China is a demand center, but building a pipeline network from $iberia to coa$tal China is problematic for many reason$, most notably that Ru$$ian ha$ to depend on China and China ha$ to depend on Ru$$ia. There are reasons why Alaska North Slope gas has never been connected by pipeline to the lower 48.
For the benefit of everyone, Russian resources must find a way into the market that it is already connected too. That is everyone, except the large LNG producers, the US, Australia & Qatar.
Now that Europe has emphatically demonstrated that it doesn't need Russian energy, they will be able to secure that same energy, cheaper than before, under a unified umbrella in a post sanction world. The long term Take-or-Pay contracts of the past will be replaced with interruptible, best efforts contracts, at a fraction of the cost.
This will wear the mask of war reparations, must it will smell like a deal that can't be refused.
Germany still has that same access to cheap Russian gas, but now it has the EU & NATO as advisors and influencers to future energy agreements with Russia. They are the still the same industrial base, and still the landing point for the Nord Stream Pipelines, but they are not alone anymore in dealing with Russia.
At its core, Germany and Germans are efficient. And resourceful.
They co-existed with the Comanche's in Texas when nobody else could.
And, I like Annalena, their Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs; Brisket? Down Boy!!!
Woof! I like mustard on my biscuits!

I don't think I've read any of these since I turned 26 (36 now), so it would definitely be interesting to see what I get out of a lot of these books now that I've been out in the real world for a while.
Same for a lot of works. Even re-reading Cormac McCarthy, looks way different now in my twilight years, than it did in my late 20s....

Does your homeownership chart take into account corporate owners or multiple home owners (rich boomers) or people leveraging homes for Air B&B as a career versus dwindling inventory? Because if it's just saying that 66% ownership of a home existing being stable, well, that's an entirely different dynamic. Those are important distinctions to understand.
Thank you, was about to question that/point that out. Also I corrected your spelling errors, cretin!

Who are you babbling about? If you’re talking about me, I was born in this country and never fled from anywhere. Stop threadshitting asshole.
I’m all about stopping threadshitting assholes. I hate that stuff.

Disgusting that the UN Security Council and the US representative stood up for a moment of silence for the Butcher of Tehran. They should stand in silence for the thousands of Iranians he has killed. How tone deaf is the UN when the people of Iran are celebrating that this cocksucker is dead.
NATO and the EU sent their condolences as well. Western leaders are clueless when it comes to Iran.
Damn, it’s almost like fleeing like a coward, and then blaming the country you fled to for not doing anything, is a thing.

This is horseshit and you know it. It was expressly delivered at the house of the regent to send a message. To rattle him. At the house where his family sleeps. The letter wasn't left in the mailbox. It wasn't mailed anonymously to his office. It wasn't sent via social media from an anonymous account. None of that shit happened. It IS real life, and against the backdrop of other camps leaving fake bodies covered in fake blood on families lawns, it sends the intended message.
Well at least they didn’t actually bomb the fuck out of him, Is that your criteria?

Haha. In some circles that’s seen as a “weakness”. That’s a big problem.

Sometimes this thread is entertaining and then sometimes you get pages upon pages of long-winded arguments about zoning laws, tax codes and municipal utilities.
It’s a beating, yeah. But such is life. Surly city government would be awesome. My first order of business would be to relocate The Landing Strip in Lost Creek, ya know, being that it’s now disannexed and no longer subject to zoning.

It is about as much work as writing this post. It ain’t hard…it is seriously the effort of a nine year old for any adult with a functional grasp on elementary school math.
and they aren’t doing that work either. They are just leveraging the corrupt relationships to meet in the middle and then charge you for lowering your assessed value even though it is probably still higher than your taxable value.
and you shouldn’t be glad. You should be frustrated that the taxing authority is so bad at its job that an entire cottage industry of law school dropouts exists to rip you off as a result.
We shouldn’t be arguing amongst ourselves, that’s what they want. We should unite. Put the whole system on trial!
