  1. I save this for Commits, but you asked for it ...
  2. Waiting til after his brother played in the B12 Championship Game, and then the availability of his HS facilities for the ceremony.
  3. A couple of things. Your body is 98.6 °F, so putting on a thermal barrier of sorts will keep a body at rest near that temperature, for a short period of time. As the hoodie warms to ambient temperature, the heat transfer to the body is faster from the hoodie than the heat transfer from the ambient air, so you will warm up quicker. If you are doing strenuous activity that accelerates the heart rate, raising the body temperature and causing perspiration, the hoodie is no bueno. If you are in direct sun, any thing that covers your body is preferable to being exposed to the direct sun, unless you are working on your tan. If you want to warm the house up, open the refrigerator door ...
  4. "What starts here changes the world." Surly ...
  5. The last 3 days have been like … un f*cking believable!!! I feel like it’s 1975, flu & strep throat, missed a whole week of classes, thermodynamics prof told me to drop his class, you’ll never catch up. Couldn’t do that or I’d lose my scholarship. “Buckle up, Dorothy, you can do it. Make us proud!” So glad for all your posts and stoked that I went back to get caught up. The best part of getting old is I can go back and read this every month, and it’s like …
  6. "In case you're still wondering or unclear of how Elko runs the defense since becoming Head Coach, his Defensive Coordinator is going to be the one calling the games while the new Aggie boss, wait for it, actually serves as the head coach running his entire team and managing the game." - Liucci Somehow, Elko doesn't strike me as the CEO type, the guy whose attention to detail is apparent in everything about him. "FACT: Most American men dress for failure. They do so because they make one or more of the four suicidal mistakes: 1. They let their wives or girlfriends choose their clothing, (Sark) 2. They let their favorite sales clerks choose their clothing, 3. They let designers and "fashion consultants" choose their clothing, (The Longhorn work uniform is Orange & White, a lot of their casual clothes look Ron Burgundy good.) 4. Or they let their backgrounds choose their clothing." Dress for Success - John T. Molloy Knowing how important first impressions are in all aspects of life, this is Aggy's choice for leadership? (self edit - maybe knowing that is not as common as it used to be?)
  7. FSU beat the teams on their schedule, that were scheduled 5-10 years ago. Like LSU, Clemson, & Florida, 3 BCS/CFP National Champions. Not their fault they all sucked. Compare this to Georgia canceling playing OU. FSU played more BCS/CFP SEC National Champions than Georgia did. It was a hard choice. You can't penalize a team for scheduling hard games, that is what makes college football.
  8. I wanted a Johnny 7 - One Man Army, and got a Screaming Mee-Mee. My son wanted a Jurassic Park Bull Rex, and they were nowhere to be found. Arnold's kid wanted a Turbo Man. Sucks as a kid. As a parent, you hear it every year. Sucks x 2.
  9. The dipshittery on this board won't easily go away for me. The degree to which so many railed against Sark & Quinn is exactly the kind of crap that created the clusterf*ck around the Stoops-Elko fiasco. The UT brain trust 5-10 years would have listened to the these dip shits and run Sark & Quinn out of town. At least we fixed the top. Kinda like calling someone's mother a whore. You can take it back and apologize. But things are never the same. Dipshits 2.0. Re: SEC getting left out of CFP ... because Texas beat the SEC Champion ... the first tangible data point of Texas "ruining" the SEC, beating them ... on the football field . (Pls see Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri and TAMU) We're Texas! "Florida State and Texas should be rewarded for scheduling and beating LSU and Alabama." So ... today ... I feel a peaceful contentment that I've not felt for a long time. Texas won the last B12 Championship, to go along w/ winning the first Big 12 Championship, to go with winning the last SWC Championship. Things are right w/ the world. People opened their eyes and saw what we already knew. Long time haters from across the county, the SEC honks, the media mouthpieces, even aggy, like apocalyptic zombies, lining up to sing Texas' praises and jump on the bandwagon. “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free”
  10. All gas baby!!!!
  11. "Hopefully any lessons learned since our move to the SEC in media relations will help mitigate it a bit ..." Given the clusterf*ck w/ Stoops, the sneaking out at Duke in the middle of the night, the "welcoming" at the airport (prisoner exchanges have more excitement), and the news conference/pep rally, it doesn't appear they've learned that much.
  12. WTF on the storm water plumbing. So they're using student red-pots for stadium construction now?
  13. Bjork is right, kinda... it is not an 8-4 job. It is a 7-5 job. Since 2000, w/ 12 years in the B12 and 12 years in the SEC, A&M's record is 176-122, or 7.3 & 5.1, or 7-5. Their record in the B12 was 7-6, and their record in the SEC is 8-4. They have lost 4 of fewer games in only 8 out of 24 seasons. 14. A&M has played 11 FCS teams since 2012, Mich St has played 4.
  15. Looks like he frequently has too much on his plate.
  16. "Did we to get a new Aggy Head Coach? Som Tee Wong. "Did we put up enough money to get a new Aggy Head Coach?" We Too Loo.
  17. Making me shout at the TV wasn't a complete game. Maybe that's on me? Settling for 3's and the pic in the end zone were easy points left off the board. Even then, a total butt fucking destruction of TTU. Seeing Worthy limp off the field multiple times, only to come back time and again ... Jett Bush's pic 6, and the number of guys that congratulated him on the sidelines ... the parade of running backs ... Arch getting his feet wet and making plays ... the personification of guys buying in and creating a culture. Jaylan Ford's response when asked about the mood of the team, "Confident ... everybody has confidence in everybody ..." Enjoy the ride. Hook 'Em!!!
  18. Oregon moved ahead of Texas when Quinn got hurt.
