  1. Am I a lawyer? I don't feel like a lawyer?
  2. No man, he's just asking questions. Well, that's kind of fucking depressing. I don't want my attorney bitching and moaning on a chatroom all damn day.....;)
  3. Yep, the ones g-father wore were paper thin. Thrift shops often have a decent selection as well. Picked up a bunch back in the day. To quote the great Jason Boland: Cheap bourbon whiskey and pearl-snap shirts Are two things that stay the same So when the world starts spinnin' and your head hurts There's a cheap bourbon whiskey and pearl-snap shirt
  4. I'd assume all cell phones were taken/scrubbed as evidence?
  5. Lol, which makes perfect sense. Stalking the woods, having to hit a small, often alerted animal that moves fast, is elevated, alerts others to your presence, and all with open sights - probably with a single-shot .22lr. Shit isn't easy.
  6. "Rads" on a moving target is similar to mil-dots on a fixed scope. They both account for movement, velocity, and direction. Long-range shooters geek out over this stuff, even taking into consideration the Coriolis effect, or the rotation of the Earth and it's impact on the trajectory of the bullet at extreme ranges.
  7. Not at all. Family went to our old church, so we still new a lot of the people at the service. Lots of kids know each other. Friends of friends. Lots of older (relatively), ranch style houses in that part of town. Few McMansions. Many more apartment complexes. Just "normal" as it gets I guess?
  8. Yep. "old" Frisco is just as blue-collar as anywhere. Lots of new apartments as well all over to allow people to take advantage of the school districts without having to buy a house.
  9. Yeah, that would make a hell of a truck/hiking/camping/HD option for all the reasons I mentioned above with the Ruger carbine, but in an even more compact option.
  10. No sir, that .22mag is fun as hell to shoot and would ruin someone's day if you had to use it. The Ruger carbine is fantastic. It's my top suggestion for HD for a new gun owner. You can load higher cap mags, minimal recoil, less report than a 5.56 and much less concerns of wall penetration and because you can anchor it to your shoulder and get two hands on it, it's more accurate for a newb to use. And they are fun as hell, which promotes more familiarity and competency with it
  11. They brought in as many kids as they could, but once in the "pipeline", they found certain specialties were better suited for certain jobs. Deflection shooting is hard to learn and hard to teach, especially with bombers clustered together. They tried to mitigate this by staggering the planes vertically and laterally, but it was what it was. To teach it, many services started gunners with shotguns and clay targets - which as you can imagine, a certain segment of the population was more comfortable with than others.
  12. Haven't watched the video yet, but I read that they targeted lots of rural and Midwest kids that grew up bird hunting because they understand the concept of 'deflection shooting', ie. leading your target. Same reason mechanized units loved them, as they grew up around large farm equipment and knew how to work on them, fix them, etc.
  13. I'm pretty close to this and the parents put out a statement earlier indicating that neither boy had any prior contact with one another and there had been no earlier altercations. This could be a giant smokescreen to try and downplay any indications that this was premeditated. We'll have to see this play out.
  14. We do have a grocery store with a bar inside. All the gray-hairs hang out there and the bartender knows my beer as soon as I walk in and starts pouring it so I can walk around with a drink
  15. It’s godundme. They can use the money on strippers and blow if they want.
