I can agree with your broader take on the board, but I've gone on record multiple times saying I never wanted Lane at Texas. Caught a good amount of grief for it, and I personally find LSU's gamble on Lane a bit of a relief.
Oh, we are in agreement. The cluster fuck that is LSU extends to the entire state which could very reasonably and accurately be described at GTA 6 Vice State. Chicago likes to give that region a run on graft, but we all know the real winner.
Are you trying to say escalation of the consistently failing WOD the US has been waging since before Nixon to a international fight with an entire country is pointless?
I wasn't getting snippy dude. I found it humorous that you "predicted" with such confidence that Bama would defeat Auburn. Auburn always finds a way to keep that game close then snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Last night it was a refusal by Auburn players to hold on to the ball. Perhaps they are sponsored by a KY Jelly or Vaseline, dunno but it was definitely a very War Eagle type of problem.
I actually fully agree withe RBG and Immamacs projection potential of Lane at Texas and think it's true for LSU. He could be getting the Tarmac treatment in year 2 or 3, or could go on to win 7 national championships. It's a high risk high reward choice and I really can't think of a better suited school than LSU save perhaps the hot mess that is Auburn.
I can't disagree but my view is a variation on yours. I see him more like the philanering husband/wife who parties a bit too much and doesn't get along well with the in-laws. Yet, despite knowing all that some future husband/wife marries them with the "they've changed" mantra. Or... maybe I'm just projecting based on Texas' HC. I dunno.
That is a really nice high level encapsulation of the broad aspects of this with some history and the future. It's something you can share with uniformed curious folks with no specific political team bias. Thanks for sharing.
Virginia is, imo, the most fraudulent team in the top 25. I could see Duke winning very realistically, and maybe convincingly.
I don't have the same disdain for the Big XII as the ACC as a fraud, only because I think the ACC and their part time conference mate Notre Dame are a complete house of cards level of fraud. Enron level, MLM fraudulent.
I, for one, absolutely appreciate and respect their relentless effort to never give up combined with their ironic need to find a way to lose. It's impressive and honorable.
Auburn is the definition of college town. Half the population is a student, the rest pretty much support them. I looked up median age, 33, 52% female. It's basically Auburn University and a few other people. It's not very exciting.
BR, can be exciting if sketch is your bag, but it's certainly not mine.
Welp, I'm really glad Texas won last night cause not a single team I wanted to win has so far today and that sadly looks to be how it will stay. Never put any faith in the Cal Bears or Auburn Tigers.
