  1. What a double play!!!!
  2. I had a full ride offer from A&M. Went to UTPA instead. (Texas offered me a measly $3000 a semester and UTPA offered me a provisional acceptance to med school)
  3. Local time zone for whomever was looking at the tweet.
  4. There's currently a 5 star quarterback, who was ranked #1 in the nation, ranked ahead of Arch Manning, who couldn't win the starting job at Boise St and is now at UTEP.
  5. Geez, I went to UT Pan Am and finished in 3 years and it was exponentially more expensive than that
  6. Posted this in the draft thread, but...
  7. I heard in the post game or maybe read an article that said they know that their payroll will have to triple/quadruple, but their revenue last year was middle of the pack compared to Championship teams so they should be able to offer some increased wages
  8. Link not updated yet, but appears that Gbenda is heading to Nashville https://x.com/d_aavviidd/status/1916296898433986846?t=xjkKTJUPYxYtVnqX0TJXcQ&s=19

  13. That's 3!!!! 10 minutes until it's time to party!!
  14. Wrexham up 1-0! Edit: make that 2-0 in the 18'!! Rob and Ryan are in town
  15. There's at least 1 army base there, so it's not entirely intentional. And the beach can be nice. But then yeah, there's the rest of the state. Well, how can you not be excited about that?!
  16. You disrespect the name of Kai Money at your own risk, sir.
  17. https://www.reddit.com/r/UTAustin/s/9kYaJNuhXN Link didn't embed
  18. It was 1939. There was no "national championship game" They beat Texas to finish the regular season undefeated on Nov 30th. Then they had to wait until Dec 12 to see the final AP rankings. I assume that's when they were declared national champions. Then they played #5 Tulane in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's, but the final AP poll had already been decided, so I guess this game wouldn't have had any effect on their status as national champions. The closest thing to a national championship game that year was the game against Texas to see if they would finish undefeated and even then they had to wait another two weeks to see where they were ranked in the final poll as Tennessee was also undefeated at the time (and hadn't been scored on I think)
  19. Rankings update Texas is the obvious #1 across all polls Interesting trend, is the SEC starting to cannibalize themselves (other than Texas)? Significant variability in the top 10 across all polls. Clemson mostly at #2, but Oregon State, Florida State, and UNC all make an appearance in the top 5 somewhere across the polls. Baseball America https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/college-baseball-top-25-rankings/ D1 Baseball https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d1/d1baseballcom-top-25 Perfect Game https://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=23562&src=hmrephttps://www.perfectgame.org/Articles/View.aspx?article=23572&src=hmrep USA Today Coaches Poll https://sportsdata.usatoday.com/baseball/cbb/coaches-poll NCBWA https://www.sportswriters.net/ncbwa/news/2025/04/21/texas-33-5-tops-ncbwa-division-i-poll Our next series opponent is A&M, currently unranked in all polls but on a big hot streak
  20. RPI Update through 20APR https://www.ncaa.com/rankings/baseball/d1/rpi Georgia somehow stays at #1 ahead of #2 Texas. Vandy up to #3 followed by Auburn, Arkansas, LSU. Tennessee down to #12 Clemson is the first non-SEC team at #8 followed by UNC at #9 A&M on a hot streak checks into the top 40, now at #37. Honestly, quite remarkable considering they were outside the top 100 not too long ago. Others of note: OUsucks #19, Florida #23, UTSA #28, UTRGV #31, Lamar #70, Texas St. #87
  21. This wouldn't make any sense unless we suffer a Newcastle level embarrassment. Everyone basically knows that we've given up on PL matches. As long as we're somewhat competitive in the match, losing those doesn't matter right now or he would've been fired a long time ago. And we're far enough ahead of the relegation zone, so I don't think that comes into play either. Europa is the only thing we're playing for right now. So even for Tottenham standards, as long as we progress in Europe, firing him for something happening in the league wouldn't make sense at this point. Except a Newcastle level of embarrassment.
  22. I thought I saw this here, but looking back in the thread, I'm not seeing it, so here you go.
