  1. I wish it was as simple as that, but it's not the first time it's happened. Here's the sequence against City. Ball on the right, LB on the ball, LCB trying to block the passing lane, RCB has his eyes on a runner potentially coming into the box or waiting for a cutback, RB (Gray) is marking a runner. The circled attacker is who the ball goes to and scores. Here's a similar situation against West Ham. Ball on the right. LB on the ball, LCB clogging the passing lane, RCB on a runner, RB is on a runner. Guy that scores comes in from out of the picture. The RB in this game was Porro I believe. So it's not all on Gray and I wouldn't be surprised if this is something opponents have seen on film.
  2. I feel like we give up a lot of goals on crosses to unmarked players at the back post, kind of like the one today. Is that a tactical deficiency of Ange ball? Or is someone not tracking back enough to cover the last man across the box? Thoughts?
  3. @Magus Ossis we call a consult upon the Ortho Bro.
  4. Depending on the grade of injury (basically how misaligned the two fragment ends are and where along the collarbone the fracture is), a collar bone fracture can potentially heal in about 6-8 weeks, especially in this age group.
  5. He hasn't had much opportunity this year, but has still been pretty reliable. 100% on XP, 3-3 from under 40, 3-5 from over 40 Compared to last year: 100% on XP, 18-19 from under 40, 9-12 from 40-50, 2-4 from 50+
  6. Aggie tonight
  7. Didn't we just down a punt on the 1?
  8. 17 straight completions now
  9. Pass to open the run. Get them to spread out and play the screens, then run it.
  10. I think someone mentioned he's behind on pass pro, so putting him in is a giveaway that it's a run.
  11. Turnovers turnovers turnovers. Notre Dame has 3 touchdowns off 4 Navy turnovers (3 unforced fumbles, 1 strip sack in the end zone). Sloppy play has made this a blowout.
  12. The score looks bad, but Navy is going toe to toe with them. The difference is 3 sloppy turnovers.... Fumbled halfback toss, fumbled option exchange, stupid muffed punt. For a team with only two turnovers all year (both interceptions), 3 unforced fumbles is really uncharacteristic
  13. Frustrating, because they've been able to move the ball on offense. Three sloppy turnovers gifted Notre Dame at least 14 points... The margin right now is 17.
  14. Down in the RGV, Weslaco Panthers lead PSJA 14-7. But more importantly, the Weslaco Softball team had a ceremony at halftime to receive their State Championship rings! (If y'all remember, the state championship game made national news after Weslaco won on a walk off grand slam)
  15. I was wearing a Longhorns cap while I was in St Louis on a work trip about this time last year. Went out in the Ballpark District one night and some fresh out of college drunk kid throws me the horns down. I give a little chuckle and ask where he went to school. "Michigan St" "Ok.... Then why are you throwing me horns down? Why do you even care?" "Uh, isn't that just what everyone does now?"
  16. Go Navy!! I agree, this sucks that it's at an NFL stadium. Playing this series home and home would be awesome for the students.
  17. Yeah..... We've got friends in Tuscaloosa who had a corporate tailgate. So we actually weren't planning on going into the game, we were just going to watch at the tailgate, but then decided to check prices at the last minute and got lucky
  18. I got into the game in Tuscaloosa, first row upper deck, for about $100 a ticket about 30 minutes before kickoff
  19. So this was the 🤫 from Blake that was on the football recruiting thread. Chances he makes it to campus?
  20. In this hypothetical, would the SEC runner up be in the playoffs if they have 3 losses (Notre Dame, Texas, Texas) and never played Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, or Tennessee? Their best win in that case would be...I guess Missouri or LSU depending on how they finish. There's absolutely a chance that the committee makes the argument that A&M only made it to the CCG because they avoided the top teams in the conference. Who gets in between let's say 2 loss Bama (Vandy, Tenn), 2 loss Georgia (Bama, Texas), 2 loss Ole Miss (UK, UGA), 1 loss Tenn (Ark), and 3 loss aggy? Plus a 1-loss ND (that beat aggy), potential 1-2 loss Big 10 runner up, potential 1 loss Big 12 runner up... Competition for that 11-12 seed (depending on G5 champion) is going to be crowded.
  21. Go Navy! There's a real chance that the AAC championship game could be Navy vs Army part 1 with a playoff spot on the line, followed by a rematch the next week for the traditional game.
  22. Haven't gone all the way through the thread yet, so don't know if this was already mentioned, but I watched at Little Woodrow's in Midtown last year and it was the Texas Ex watch party
  23. Thanks, I appreciate the strategy lesson. As much as I love watching volleyball, it's nice to understand what's actually happening and why
