  1. Last time for me on this play. It wasn’t a great throw by Quinn but it was catchable in bounds, imo. He was under pressure and had to get rid of the ball where he could give AD a chance to make the catch. If AD breaks to the outside instead of doing a 360 degree spin he could have been in position to jump sooner, jumping at the same time the DB jumps and essentially “blocking him out”, like a rebound. He’s taller and bigger than the DB, so I think he wins that battle. The ball is slapped away right on the boundary line. I think if AD could have jumped straight up earlier he could have made the catch and gotten a foot in bounds. Maybe Quinn was improvising because of the pressure and threw it to a different spot than AD was expecting, we don’t know. But, I don’t think the blame should fall all on Quinn for that play.
  2. This play has been nitpicked to death. Quinn throws the ball to spot where he thinks Mitchell is going. Mitchell decides to turn his body to the left almost making a 360 degree turn, despite the ball being throw to his right shoulder. The DB is squared up and in much better position to react/jump for the ball than Mitchell. So Mitchell is turning his body (the wrong way) to square up to try and make the catch and doesn't have time to get in a good position to jump for the ball. The DB was in a better position when the ball arrived and made a good play, bottom line. Nothing wrong with the throw under the circumstances, imo.
  3. There wasn't very many if any times that the pass rush had more than one rusher with a shot at Penix. He easily escaped the single free rusher every time. Probably need multiple rushers to really affect him.
  4. Maybe, but it’s happened several times this season. I think he rushes it too much under pressure sometimes. It’s better than holding the ball too long and throwing it late.
  5. Ewers is throwing to a spot where he thinks Mitchell is going to be. You can see he’s released the ball before Mitchell is in the end zone and he’s getting pressured. He gave Mitchell a chance and their DB made a good play. Imo Ewers biggest issue is releasing the ball too early at times. He had 3 or 4 throws in this game when the receiver didn’t know the ball was thrown their way. His timing can be a bit off. Also good scouting by Wash to have their dline get their hands up and bat passes. Ewers has a low arm angle.
  6. Ewers didn’t have the luxury to know to throw that last ball lower. He’s under pressure and throwing to a spot before Mitchell is set. Probably trying to throw a fade. Seems obvious in hindsight but not quite that simple in live fire.
  7. Yep that’s bad coaching. Just about cost them the game.
  8. Worthy might want to tuck that tshirt in. Might have scored there. DB pulled him down with the shirt.
  9. Blitz packages are garbage. They are getting picked up every time.
  10. Cook didn't come across very well in that press conference to me. He sounded like a passive aggressive asshat. He conveniently left out several facts about our players and team to help support his whiny sounding points. Compare his press conference with Kelly Sheffield's after Wisconsin lost. Sheffield showed quite a bit more class imo. So did his players. #5 for Nebraska is really mouthy and cocky, but all she could do was mumble and cry after that ass whipping. Youthful silliness maybe, but I doubt they change that much.
  11. Holy Shit! Serve game is devastating!
  12. The serve game tore Wiscy apart. Their serve receive, as has been mentioned already, was their weakness, and we exploited it beautifully. I was a bit surprised when watching the first set, that their passing seemed to be shaky. In the 2nd set they passed better and were in system, which allowed them to play their style, which quite frankly we couldn't stop. That set was how I thought they would play the entire match. Stanford's serve receive game was way better than Wiscy's. Between our serve, Halter's D, and Madi terminating from the back row they were destroyed mentally and just kind of collapsed the last 2 sets. Masterful execution and match by the team. Sounds like they should stay away from serving Corn's libero if at all possible.
  13. Wenaas reverting in that set. Looks like her confidence is shaken now.
  14. Swindle keeps setting the middles too low.
  15. Is that the chosen aggie nickname for him? If so, it's definitely on point for those gomers.
  16. Prevent D already
  17. They are throwing to set up the run. Gordon will still get plenty of carries.
  18. Bowman is getting the ball out fast. No time for pass rushers to get home.
  19. Nah, that’s just classic Aggie. They are all about the nicknames. They probably have them for their turds.
  20. Legacy doesn’t really have a system. Not a traditionally passing team. Davila is for real. There are some players in West Texas but Tech is about the only team the recruits the area, unless it’s a very obvious type guy (Roy Williams, Cedric Benson types).
  21. I think he is banged up and playing through it. Hopefully they don’t have use him too much the rest of this game.
  22. Not impressed with Finkley.
  23. Reverse sweep!
  24. #13 for Baylor looks like she should have a hook in her mouth.
  25. What is it with the slow starts with this team. Wenaas goes 10 ft line!
