  1. Because, can send you all the filming places they filmed and you can do a Ghostbusters/movie tour.  Hell, can send you that for Avengers movies.  There is probably a similar tour that you can actually go on.

It was shocking sitting at the light in my Uber…

That’s not horrible.  Booze to food ratio?

50/50, if not a little higher on the booze side. Had an outstanding bottle of a red Italian wine and I'm not a wine drinker. They serve you 3 different kinds of bread, some sopprosata (sp?) and a cauliflower medley in olive oil as starters. We did raspberry sorbet for dessert.

The spicy vodka rigatoni, the veal parm and 2 or 3 martinis has never let me down. I think the rigatoni is “the classic” thing to order there. It’s a small portion.

I think I remember the baked clams being awesome as well.

There is also a table side prepared Caesar that’s good.

Rigatoni and Caesar sounds like a winner. Thanks

Tell us how it is.  I have not been able to get a res (not that I have honestly tried very hard).

Will do. One of my buddies is in from London for another friend’s birthday and got a reservation through his F1 connections.

No secret.  It's not just Saban and Urban Meyer than we can't just wallet whip.  There are a lot of established coaches that would not necessarily be easy gets for us.

Supposedly, Brian Kelly was on our list, but he ain't here.  I wouldn't expect Mario Cristobal to just up and leave a pretty good situation, either.

I didn't say we should stop trying.

It's not so much the culture problem, which seems to be pretty real, whatever its causes; it's just that we probably aren't as attractive as we think we are.

The last couple of tries, notwithstanding Herman, there weren't just a ton of obvious and attractive candidates out there.

This. Why people think a successful coach would leave their secure situation to be jobless in 1-3 years is beyond me.

Well, the SEC has really helped the Aggies. When they were in the Big 12, they were a middle-of-the-road, mediocre team that never won their conference or a championship of any kind. Now that they are playing in the best conference, their recruiting has really taken off, they have a championship-pedigree coach and a slew of championships, well, wait, actually, never mind.

Well…mostly true. We won 2 more Big 12 Championship games than aggy, so I wouldn’t toot that horn too loudly.

I've never understood the mentality that Texas is a tier 1 football program. Historically we were a tier 1 SWC football program that occasionally made a splash nationally. Save for Bible, Royal, and Brown there have not been sustained periods of excessive success nationally. I support the football program the same as I do the basketball program, the baseball program, etc- I grew up loving the teams and loved my time in school here, but a dose of reality has been severely lacking from our fanbase for decades.

So, what you're saying, is that Michigan and Nebraska are not Tier 1 programs either.

    Solid argument.
