  1. Honestly, this is a better gif for the city rn. I'm going to get absolutely shit ass tonight.
  2. Prolly more Ana De Armas, Angela White, and Aubrey Plaza for me.
  3. The House decides. By state delegation. Assuming you don’t have a faithless elector.
  4. Dude, that is not the preferred nomenclature.
  5. Real Talk: It's not clear to me that Joe will be able to be publicly sworn in next January even if he wins. This is why he's gotta step aside: It's more than a little fucking morbid that there are people on this thread who are essentially advancing a "Joe is just gotta win, then he can drop dead" line. Let's be honest, that was the line in 2020, when we all just needed him to get sworn in, then democracy saved. The fact that he is running again after that was the game plan 4 years ago is appalling.
  6. lot of too soon Charlie Strong and Mack Brown failing Texas football references in this thread.
  7. This. How many times do I have to say there is no Peak Trump. It's never going to happen. He could shoot Biden during a debate, take a shit on stage, smear it all over himself, and fuck a goat and 45% of the voting public will vote for him.
  8. Ah. The USC of the East Coast.
  9. He's an adult now and campaigning for his dad, so I don't feel shy about sharing any more: There were pretty strong rumors that he has either learning disabilities or is neurodivergent in some fashion. The private school he went to is known for quietly catering to special needs without being open about it, as opposed to the Lab School of Washington, which is the go to for rich parents with kids who need premier atypical learning/education.
  10. It means he didn't get in an Ivy (specifically Penn), or a near Ivy. And Trump is mortified.
  11. YEah, he's gotta a little golf prick/fleece vest/Youngkin in him when he tones down the wingnut.
  12. Holy fuck, stop with it was the meltdown, not the debate that is the crisis. if elected, Biden has to govern for four more years. It’s clear he cannot. Which means we are functionally being asked to vote for Harris. But folks don’t like that. As an intellectual argument that’s both flawed, and kinda misogynist.
  13. Those of us that have lost a parent to mental decline can attest to the way it seems to accelerate from “Grampa is slowing down but otherwise good” to “we need to take away the keys and start calling retirement homes”
  14. In fairness, Democrats are deeply despondent right now, so good luck getting a depressed but guaranteed to vote (i.e. most of this page) on the phone right now to spend 15 minutes answering polling questions.
  15. Latter. Too soon to have the Kamala/Gretch/Newsom discussion.
  16. I realize this isn’t helping things for our collective psyche , but I’ve had two professional calls TODAY with clients where we are discussing the Biden administration in past tense. Like lame duck past tense. And not with wingnuts. I’m not the only person. This is occurring all over town.
  17. This is me rn: https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/c6194096-32c9-4fd9-b77d-9018a25d7b02#IeD0VyCD.copy
  18. Este. You either run like a young man or get the fuck out of the way.
  19. I just don't see how you get Gretch on the ticket in a competent fashion. All this talk of a rocket primary is fantasy. The Democrats couldn't get laid in a whore house on pay day and we are expecting them to have a primary without blowing themselves apart? That's why it's almost certainly going to be Harris and some very anodyne Red State governor like John Bel Edwards or Roy Cooper. The only alternative I can come up with is the President drops our at the Convention, the whole thing is done behind closed doors, and you end up with Newsom or Gretch at the topic of the ticket, and Harris agrees to stand down for something else.
