Cleaned up $3,000 in more fake money on fake WTI contracts trading.  If I get laid off this should be my fall back plan.  There is literally no downside to wagering my kids’ college tuition plans on this.

Bwahahahaha, I wish it was that easy.

can you speak english motherfucker cause I would like 3g fake money too.

Yeah, that's a weird thing to be leading Germany in heading into July.  I was also very surprised to see what percentage of new cases this week were under 40 years of ago.  Which will hopefully not translate into quite the bump in hospitalizations, but will just provide a ripple effect on more cases as those "immortal" dipshits keep running around town without a mask.

In Travis, it appears that a bunch were in that 20-29 range.

Just left. Grand total was 4 masks and 53 without.

Mask wearing out west of town is very much up. I am seeing 80-90% use, of course my first hand observations are small and mostly limited to the liquor store.

Went with the pizza.  Picking it up in a few.  Got a medium Savage, all the fucking way, all to myself.  It'll be breakfast tomorrow, too.

I think you made the right call.

I will bite.  Fuck I hated statistics in B-School.  I thought they were just different ways of showing the same data. Why do I keep hearing that the “growth is shown on a logarithmic chart so it looks flatter than it is.”

It’s a semi log scale that is used, log scale on y and linear on x.  It transforms the exponential growth curve into a linear growth pattern.

Thanks for the updates. I disagree with a lot of posters here. Tulsa ain't that bad of a town. And you can drive 40 min in any any direction of Austin and see more Confederate flags than you might care to. Texas coast has far and away more Trump flags per capital of anywhere I've been from Cali to NC.

I was raised in Austin and spend a lot of time on the roads west of here, and a bit east of here. Don’t recall a bunch of confederate flags over the years.  See a lot of Texas flags and a few come and take it. And a lot of US flags. See a lot of stuff down on the coast though last few years.

Yep, dipshits don't understand that when much of the country is done being infuriated about murder after murder of innocent black men...the focus will turn to other types of corruption/unethical practices like destroying/manipulating/planting evidence, lying under oath/lying during investigations, unethical arrangements with the D.A.'s offices, all that kind of procedural/evidentiary/judicial shitshows.

I don’t have that much faith in our attention span, but maybe this time is different.

  8. Maybe this isn't a terrible idea.  Start showing people getting put on the ventilator and coding on a loop on the news.  Maybe the hold outs start wearing their masks.

La Paz (AFP) - A TV channel sparked controversy in Bolivia on Thursday after it broadcast live the final minutes of a COVID-19 patient's life while doctors tried desperately to save him.

The "No Lies" program said it took the decision to show a COVID-19 patient's death in a hospital in the eastern city of Santa Cruz to jolt into action authorities who had neglected the health services.

If it’s red all the way on the right that’s means the disease is spreading faster than ever now and accelerating.

Within each state's specific growth rate range.  At least that is how I interpret the normalization.

ETA: If that is indeed the normalization procedure, it amplifies the amount of orange and red in states with a lower peak relative to the baseline trend, and compressed the color range in states where you have a very large peak over a baseline, or a significant drop after the peak.
